2:40 this is what I and majority of us with common sense been saying for decades. The media nowadays overlook Kobe's first 3 rings mainly because Shaq won finals MVP. Kobe winning it in 00 overall is a bit of a stretch yes. But in 01 and 02 he helped to carry the team equally with Shaq. At some points even above Shaq. But its the finals that Shaq rose to the level where you had to give him FMVP. And a lot of that is also due to teamwork and Kobe not being selfish. He could have gone out gunning in the finals for the award but that was not the best way to win rings.

What I learned in the 2024 playoffs: The best player on both teams of the Warriors\Cavs rivalry was.....Godrie Irving. The only man still standing out of all those players. Finals in both conferences as a 20PPG guard (no one else has done that with his size). And the biggest shot in nba history to beat a 73 win team. Take your shot and he'll take his.

I mean when you have Stephan A Snitch come on ESPN and lie and say Kobe was carried by Shaq it creates a negative narrative real hoopers back then I stood Kobe was never carried but in fact Shaq and Kobe discussed their game plan and who was going to lead. You pnly came back in Finals where you need to play 4 good games to win Finals MVPs. But the rest of West playoffs in 2001 and 02 nahhhhhh! Kobe did better than you.
