The reason I find the narrative that Kendrick "didn't bring anything new" is not only false once you really dig into the lyrics, as an example not many people, including myself knew Drake paid a woman off with 500,000 dollars in a sexual assault case. So there are gems hidden in there for sure. But also, what did Drake bring new in his Push Up diss? He just called Kendrick short while lying about Whitney and Top Dawg. And Kendrick deaded those narratives in a line or two in this track. I just think we are putting unfair standards on Kendrick and letting Drake slide because his stuff is more catchy. Very few people can or would deny Drake makes catchier music/melodies, hell even Kendrick says that in this song, but Kendrick is something you can sit with and unpack new stuff every listen. Now to be fair, I am extremely curious to see where Drake takes it from here. He has to know something crazy about KDot that none of us know. Because calling him short, saying you have more money or record sales ain't going to cut it going further. KDot took so many angles that he didn't even peel back yet. So I feel like Drake is in a corner, and KDot is just waiting for him to step out of line. Kendrick seems overly confident, where Drake been acting out of pocket lately. But either way, this is great for hip hop, and hyped to see where it goes from here.

How can you have a classic if you didn't write it????
  • Drake don't have a classic, but Drake and the ghost writers may have one.😅
  • @user-lv6yg8qe8y
If you have ghost writers you can't get credit for that. Why are people so slow these days.
  • It's a dis battle, not a club battle! As far as a dis track, KDot crushes Drake, Drake don't even pen his own $hit!!!! That's why u don't feel anything when he's MC'ing. He makes bops, KDot comes with conviction, u can feel it in his Cadence and Lyrics, that's a true MC!!!!

Drake doesn’t have a classic. Weekend or Daylyt wrote the songs on his best album!😊
  • Drake's ghostwriters have classics, Drake doesn't have classics. His classic is a light pack from Like That. Dalyte the Ghostwriter

    LET’S TALK ABOUT IT 🔥🔥🔥👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
  • People kill me with trying to defend Drake having a classic. Don't people get it by now.... I'm tired of explaining this.. when you have to think about it hard that means he doesn't have one. Does Tupac have a classic? Does Snoop have a classic? Does Eminem have a classic? Does biggie have a classic? How long did it take for you to think of the answer for each of those artists? Did you have to have a discussion and break down songs and all of that to see if each one of them had a classic? No you didn't you immediately know a few songs that could be classics of each one of those guys. How can you have a classic when you don't write your own lyrics? How can you have a classic when you have so many features? Too many people get hit songs confused with classics

The intro is Richard Pryor voice from the movie The Wiz that Michael Jackson was in. Richard Pryor played the Wizard, and he turned out to be a fraud, which is what KDot is calling Drake.😏

They saying that the cease and desist order was on ye’s like that remix. It was interesting that Kendrick ended the track with a Ye reference
  • I h8 bi-racial folk taking offense on his “black features” lyric like he’s saying Drake isn’t black enough BECAUSE he’s bi racial! That’s not at all how I take it! He’s talking about CULTURE! Drake being Canadian and growing up in The Toronto suburbs breeds a different culture. Not black/hood CULTURE which Drakes pretends he’s bout dat life. He ISN’t. The whole “you don’t have a classic”, he means you don’t have a true rap classic album. He may be the biggest seller in the genre but true rap fans think Drakes talented but he’s not a true rapper and couldn’t stand in the room with the REAL CULTURE!
  • They saying the goat comment of 2 goats hugging and kissing was reference to Jay-z and Beyoncé
  • Don't ever question k. He is not that dude to blow smoke just for a diss track. And you know he's way too connected and plugged in. What's wrong with yall...don't y'all know Kendrick? He's not like these other janky people. Don't you understand that's what he hates most about Drake
