Have none of you ever actually heard of extracurriculars??? Published a novel at 16? That basically negates their need to check your English portion on the SATs. Gotten far in the Math Olympiad? Won national medals for swimming? Played in a notable youth orchestra? Started your own small business? Captained a team that consistently won competitions under your leadership? That’s the kind of stuff colleges are looking for. If you already had great grades and recommendations, then merits like the ones I mention above negate the need for the SATs.

guys. uni criteria is severely changing to demonstrate that testing cannot accurately predict how “smart” or “deserving” a college candidate is. I got in to Stanford and many Ivies and I couldn’t get more than a 1400. I went to an average public school, and I have a pretty average middle class family background (not poor or rich). however, my extracurriculars and essay were fire and what got me in. my friend went to another school in my area and was in the same position as me, and she got in as well. being test optional does not mean ur parents are bill gates and running the university lol.

First girl is the kinda girl that always says that she fucked up the test and panics but everyone know damn well she got the best grade
  • the first girl has one of the most calming and mellow voices I’ve heard… she seems like a very genuine and sweet person too

no one in the comments understands how the college application process works😭 the girl didn’t submit sat test scores, meaning they didn’t count against her, she probably didn’t take them.
  • @ISOonJj
First girl is definitely humble she studied hard
  • @Otoskire
Damn everyone is judging her for a PSAT score, those tests are meaningless, and an 1100 on the PSAT is above average assuming she took it early on in high school. If she had to take the SAT and studied for it properly she could easily get an elite score.
  • Y’all assuming the last girl’s whole life😭 she could just be a bad tester and excellent at like everything’s else 🥲
  • @Artr-sw7lg
This guy has chill and wholesome vibes and i'm all for it 👍

The first girl should give herself more credit. She rocked that test. Smart people really don't realize how smart they are because they recognize how much they don't know.

Last person is either a national champion in athletics or the parents donated a building
  • I never took the SATs. The day of the test, I didn’t feel like it, so I just slept in and didn’t go. I got into college and full ride to law school without it
