John sang this to Cyn at Art school. It was just them in the classroom. He was looking her straight in the eye the whole time. Read her book.

Regardless of who made the call, McCartney or Neil Aspinell, imagine Pete Best sitting at home in 1995 getting the phone call informing him that he would be receiving royalties of one million to four million pounds for his contributions to Anthology 1. After 33 years of mostly being forgotten by the public and being shut out of existence by The Beatles, it must have been pure elation.

It's really a shame they never thought to put this on an album, or even release it as a single, as not only is it a fantastic song that features one of my favorite John lead vocals, but it also has a history, as many Beatles fans know. This is the song John sang to Cynthia when they were in school. One of the many reasons why they are my favorite Beatles couple.

Ain't John Sweet
-
John's early rock 'n roll voice at it's gnarly best
-
The fact they made a song from 1927 rock n roll. The Beatles are truly it!
-
What an incredible voice John had
-
Ain't this song perfection?
-
Always dug the rock and roll growl in John's voice. An untrained singer gifted with a voice, and confident persona, that would have you sit up and take notice. A whole lot of us are still taking notice.
-
Who would dislike this and why? Should there even be a 'dislike' button on Beatles' songs? I do not think so.
-
The rasp in his voice is perfection
-
Oh ain't that Pete you see him walking down that street he finally got there monetarily aint that sweet Oh aint that that nice went through bad times once or twice, he was a Beatle at the start momentarily Oh ain't that Pete!
-
They are the main reason I returned to learn to play the guitar
-
Even with such simple old songs, they're just SO GOOD at playing their music.
-
It’s amazing to me how effortless the switch for McCartney was from guitar to bass after Stu Sutcliffe left the band. As they were in Germany, he found a lefty Hofner Violin.model that weighed about 5 lbs, great sound.
-
John the best if not one of the best vocalist ever
-
John singing that to Cynthia Lennon for the first time after class when they where the last two in the room💕 All before the beatles were a thing.
-
Love john’s vocal here 🔥🔥🔥
