RimWorld follows three survivors from a crashed space liner as they build a colony on a frontier world at the rim of known space. Inspired by the space western vibe of Firefly, the deep simulation of Dwarf Fortress, and the epic scale of Dune and Warhammer 40,000.

Manage colonists' moods, needs, individual wounds, and illnesses. Engage in small-team tactical gunplay. Fashion structures, weapons, and apparel from metal, wood, stone, cloth, or futuristic materials. Fight pirate raiders, hostile tribes, rampaging animals, giant tunnelling insects and ancient killing machines. Tame and train cute pets, productive farm animals, and deadly attack beasts. Watch colonists develop relationships with family members, lovers, and spouses. Discover a new generated world each time you play. Build colonies in the desert, jungle, tundra, and more. Manage quirky colonists with unique backstories, traits, and skills. Learn to play easily with the help of an intelligent and unobtrusive AI tutor.

Ah Rimworld my favorite story generated game, one where you can thrive with Marine Armor by day 1 or be mutilated by a mad turtle, you can spend WEEKS on a colony I can tell this will be a journey lmao

The nostalgia hit hard with this one. I loved the original series and re watched it a few times in the past. Rimworld really has an infinite amount of stories that can happen

that was really fun to watch, great story telling! looks like the turning point was the mega spider invasion, it all went to hell from there.

Unironically I wanted to cry at the end, I was so invested in the story and it was phenomenally done

The ending tore me up 🥹 Also, one thing to consider when Pawns are bleeding out in the field is you can treat them right there on the spot - just enough bandaging of one or two major wounds so they can survive the rescue trip back to a hospital bed 🏥

A non-violent pawn seems to always become the backbone of any colony. In my current playthrough I have a chef/doctor named Trey, and the colony wouldn't still be standing if it wasn't for him.
  • This was so fun to watch! I rarely think of this game as a story generator, but when it's narrated and edited like this, I can really see it. I hope you do another series like this soon.

This was my first time seeing Hotdog's adventure. That was such a beautiful and harrowing tale. You've got a great capacity for storytelling! Did Hotdog's adventure ever continue? 🥺

This is amazing! I played Rimworld for a bit around 2017 or so but Oxygen Not Included already filled my needs for a colony survival game so Rimworld got put on the shelf. I was watching the streamer Grubby and Rimworld won his community weekly game vote. I remembered I owned it and watched a couple youtube vids and then this video got recommended to me. After watching it I've found new passion and have been playing for 4 days straight!

Cool supercut! I think I liked the slower pace of the original series, but I still enjoyed this and rewatching the story of hotdog and the others. Also, the rock version of that one usually chill rimworld song was awesome. That cutscene at the end was really cool too... nice foreshadowing! I'm excited to see what's to come.
  • Yet another stellar video! :O Man, I've watched your Kenshi playthrough and it was a delight. This one is nothing less. Amazing work!

Its so great watching this series again but in a movie format! I can't believe it was 4 years ago. Its what got me into rimworld in the first place. Thank you!

Your story telling is sooo good! After watching the first couple of minutes and seeing how “everyone felt guilty because they brought her into this, and she died because of it…life was hard in this rimworld.” I already know this is gonna be a fire video

I love the artwork and storytelling. This is my favorite way to watch people play games. Love it! Great job and thank you.

Please do more of these, this was amazing and the narration along with the pictures strewn throughout really added to the story vibe of it
  • @Cookielaide
This Video Was... Fantastic! The Storytelling Was Perfect, And I Loved The Foreshadowing! Can't Wait To See What Happens Next!
  • @jam0craz0_
loved the story telling on this! i hope to see more like this.
  • What an amazing video man, I was intending to put it like a background noise while i study, but the storytelling is so freaking good that i'm now watching this whole piece.
  • Found a real hidden gem of a channel. Not over edited with “funny” sound bits and memes, half lets play half story, and never a dull moment. Can’t wait for the next series to watch . You Inspired me to do my own let’s play man, hopefully mine would be as half as good as yours!
