  • What i dont get is how for days before the storm leaders kept expressing how ready they were for this ...houston literally cannot handle any weather at all and someone is getting richer i know it

Why is there always an investigation after a crisis? Shouldn't we be investigating their preparedness before an emergency? I swear the government is backwards.

We're in Montgomery and our provider is Entergy. Now I know why we've been a lot luckier than majority when it comes to electricity recovery. We only suffered a day and a half of outage. Praying for people in Houston....can't even imagine how tough it is.

The Governor is investigating? What a joke. He gave center point the power to do whatever they want. And here we are, a Cat1 and the whole city is in crisis for days.

CENTERPOINTLESS!!! šŸ¤¬ Leave the linemen alone. they're here to help. Centerpointless management and politicians are responsible for this!!! šŸ¤¬ 77077 STILL OUT!!!! Day 5 and elderly!!!

Day 5 "Off-Grid" (no power)... Promises were made by Abbott years ago after more than 70 people died during a winter storm... We still have "late 19 Century technology"Ā  electric poles for cables in rural areas and cities, exposed transformers and unprotected generators (from air, rain and winter)...Ā  I am not sure ifĀ ERCOTĀ includes every company that owns the infrastructure in Texas, but they have had plenty of time to rebuild, modernize and ultimately develop a network that has the capacity to supply the growing demand and a reliable grid across our State.Ā  My comments are not about "bashing" or calling for people to be fired... the intention is to instill in the companies the will to Build systems with the high-quality that American ingenuity and American products used to have...

So much for texas having so much pride in their state. Too much pride that they cant even admit when their state is failing them.

This after a Category 1 hurricane folks! I can't imagine how much worst it would be if a "Katrina" or "Andrew" hit us.

Iā€™m one of those customers. 5 days ! Entergy needs to take over Houston. Pahleaseeeee.
  • What is it with the attitude of support to center point? They have not performed their duty, you should be calling that out and holding them to account

I'm at a shelter in Galveston, tx In Houston, the shelters are providing cots and food . Here in Galveston, we are forgotten. Only tourist matter . This city is so corrupt. Elderly disabled sleeping on the floor . Using plastic as covers It is so horrible to see. They denied a blind man with 1 leg entrance bc he is in diapers. He had a caregiver ! I want to email the ADA . Discrimination of a disabled person is against the law!! I emailed the mayor Who knows if he'll get it

When I moved here I was in shock of how little growth management Texas uses. Its like the people who run these things have never left the state.
  • I clicked on my street and it says my whole subdivision, Imperial Oaks in South Montgomery County, has been restored. The only problem is that none of it has actually been restored. In fact we still have a downed power line 2 blocks from me with a tree on it. Centerpoint is faking that map to try to look better than they are. Those numbers on the screen are wrong. Stop listening to computers and listen to people. I've had a text from Centerpoint every day bragging about how good they are and never have they given me any useful information. They promised that today we would get another one telling us specifically when we could expect help. They have lost credibility now. We want action taken against Centerpoint and we won't get anything repaired until the mayor sends in the police to arrest that nerdy little computer guy so the workers can get the job done. Computers don't get the work done and everyone in this city is hooked on their computer. Someone help us please?
  • Vote in change Texas. We deserve better. Praying for those still without power šŸ™šŸ¼ā¤ļø

Watching all those power lines in an urban area is like watching scenes from a third-world country. When will y'all understand that the infrastructure is too important to leave to private companies? Just as you would not accept gas, water, and sewage on poles, you should demand that the power be in underground conduits. These conduits can easily be laid out together with the gas, water, and sewage.

Humble,Texas area lights are still off near the airport...as of this morning.

Get an $85 electric bill and $30-35 are TDU and other ā€œfeesā€ which allegedly go for maintaining various parts of infrastructure šŸ˜‚ā€¦.whose pockets are these lining?
