3MM is the perfect thickness, in my opinion. I think some companies are still marketing towards 8 year old youtube fads. Overbuilt heavy blades with terrible edge geometry. Brother knives are making practical KNIVES , they cut and slice yet are still thick enough to baton if need be. I love the grind on that blade it looks excellent. Brother is becoming a favorite brand on my list.

The thickness of the blade is thinner than that of the Offgrid knife, but it is easy to see that the same D2 with good heat treatment is so different.

Luvemknives tested Brother and it’s definitely d2.
