Jonas has balls of stainless steel. Unbelievable. What a performance closing the gap on Pogacar and then winning the stage. Congrats, Jonas. He's back.

I've only just got into cycling at 64,what a wasted 40 yrs watching football, that was ace today and love the respect these guys have for each other.

everyone is criticizing those 4 guys. remco fans, jonas fans, tadej fans, primoz fans, everyone should stop whining and realize what a presious privilege it is to watch those 4 magnificent riders participate in the tour de france at the same time. I hope they will all be in good health in good shape so that we can witness these beautiful mountain stages regardless of who wins.

Hooray for Jonas!! So happy to see him come back after such an awful crash earlier this year. I love how Pogacar and Jonas work together when needed, and compete when necessary. Much respect to both for the great sportsmanship, way to set the example!

Even as a dane you just have to respect Pogacar. Such a humble guy. And amazing on the bike
  • That stage will go down as a classic! It needed the break away from Tadej to start it. You can see him and Jonas are still the two main guys! If anyone doubted Jonas’ fitness and heart then they won’t question it again for the rest of the tour. Roll on Saturday for another exciting stage.

as a tadej fan, i am happy for jonas and in general it's just so entertaining watching these guys battle it out
  • I got in a mild accident a couple months ago and still can’t ride normally, to do what Vingegaard is doing is incredible.

Jonas is a true Gentleman, as well as a great Champion.
  • Great to see Vingegaard in form. Race is on! Also any race with Pogačar is so much fun. Win or lose he makes it so much fun for TV!!! Great stage today
  • @norman-gregory
Self confidence and Jonas never giving up. Beautiful. Great stage win.

Respect Remco- not upset about Primoz having the same time and hoping that he is ok..
  • @jaimeisreal
What a beast performance by Vingegaard. Pogacar's got his hands full. It ain't over by no means.

I love that so many of these athletes are humble and have such integrity/sportsmanship in their interviews.

Wow wow wow go Jonas, such an emotional interview from him, I was in tears feeling his relief, gratitude to family 👪 and realising I'm in this. Fantastic 👏👊😎

Jonas served Remco a cold serving of humble pie today. Kid insulted a legend on Stage 9 of a grand tour before the real climbing had even begun.
