Here's a transcript of what I ultimately say, although butchered by my nerves:
If you haven’t already figure it out by now… I’m leaving you. In reality I am ready to leave something behind.
The past 6 years, 1 month, and 13 days have culminated to this moment in time, where we decide not to just to walk life beside one another. But face everyday with our hands clasped knowing with unending certainty that our path is forever paved as one. I believe that the act of marrying someone is easy, but finding the right person, through trial and error, heartbreak and happiness, that’s the real challenge. The past 6 years we have grown alongside one another and transformed each other in ways I never imagined for myself. You and I have seen our way through the darkest valley’s of our relationship, and conquered, LITERALLY, the highest peaks. You have unquestionably accepted me in all my glory and all my flaws. The tribe of people we have surrounded ourselves with over the years have each in their own way contributed to the people we are today. They have loved us, and supported us every step of the way. It’s for these reasons and so many more that I ask you…
..Will you continue to stand beside me as my husband and I your wife, will you marry me and be my partner for life?
