One of the most eagerly awaited scenes in HBO's adaptation of George Martin's Fire and Blood is Criston Cole's death in House of the Dragon.

Criston Cole's narrative is essentially identical to the Dance of the Dragons, as he rises from a stormland knight to Lord Commander of the King's Guard and ultimately Hand of the King.

Cole, who had formerly been Rhaenyra's companion and lover, found it difficult to comprehend that the princess would not flee with him.

Cole became more allied with those opposed to Rhaenyra in what would eventually turn into a civil war after Rhaenyra wed Ser Laenor Velaryon.

Daemon called him Sir Crispy. Hopefully, that will be his fate.

I didn’t know simps existed in that universe either…

Yeah we can't have him offed by some randoms in the show. Rhaenyra, Daemon, Jace, Baela - a face of House Black needs to do it.
  • What we didn't notice is that, knight's are morally deciplined and take their duty heigh above everything. after he fell for rhenyera, he lost everything dear to him.+after he realise he meant nothing to her. his soul already dead in that garden before alicent save him. Believe it or not ser criston cole is my only favorite character in the series. I keep sad for him for what come next. I dont think he care about his life from that moment on whether he die or live. Ooooh my poor broken "Cole".
  • “Sadly lacking in traditional heroes and villains.” Isn’t that the point?

Fabian took a lot of liberties and really fleshed the character out. Cole is just this despicable dude, that pretends to himself, that he's some valiant chosen blah blah. He's engulfed in ego, half decent strategic acumen. He's arrogant and....oh I hope it's like the book. But bravo to Fabian, he kills this role.

the same way as in the book, and if they do it any different the series will suffer the same fate as GoT
  • Wonder whan the ending of s2 will be...not many things happen in the books after rooks rest so I wonder just how much they can extend it
  • i dont hate criston cole like everyone else does...he's just whatever to me

I know and I'm looking forward to it! Sorry, Fabien; you're just a damn good actor!! ;-)

You Cole haters are really unhinged. No, I don't care about him, just pointing out facts.
