Bakugan: Geogan Rising (爆丸ジオガンライジング, Bakugan Jiogan Raijingu?) is the name of the third season of the second generation of Bakugan, preceded by Bakugan: Armored Alliance. This season introduces Geogan, a new gameplay element.

Unlike previous seasons, Bakugan: Geogan Rising only has two major card sets. While both sets were initially planned to see wide release, due to the silent cancellation of the Trading Card Game, only small amounts of the card sets were produced and distributed, being limited to cards available in toy releases. Only Secrets of the Geogan saw Starter Sets and Promo Cards released for it.

In Bakugan: Geogan Rising, The Awesome Brawlers band together discovering where Bakugan come from and fight to save what they love most, their Bakugan! Viloch, a powerful Golden Bakugan is desperate to break the bond that the two planet's share: Earth and the Bakugan home planet of Vestroia. Without this bond, brawling no longer exists! It's up to the Awesome Brawlers to face off against Viloch, battle to save Earth, Vestroia and their beloved Bakugan.
