Gameplay of Pokemon Silver recorded by me

We'll be playing Pokemon Silver in this one, trying to beat the main game and travel through the Johto region! If you want to see me go through Kanto and the post game as well in a follow up Nintended video, let me know in the comments!

It’s time to “HAMMER AWAY” once again
  • @nohi3619
So kind of him to heart every comment here despite not knowing how to read
  • @breakingaustin
I love how Pokémon challenges have gone so far that completing the game completely normally is the next challenge
  • @Nobodyatall6022
Plot twist: your Gyarados knew you were planning to replace it with the shiny one at Lake of Rage, so it secretly plotted the shiny's death ever since you caught it when it was just a mere Magikarp so that you couldn't catch the shiny.
  • @Tightypants
They probably sometimes spelled night in the guide as “nite” because that’s how it’s displayed in the pokegear, but that doesn’t really explain why they would switch between the two so frequently
  • @Bealzabub
Me, as a child, going into my first Pokemon game without a guide, completely unaware I am accidentally about to go on hard mode: oh Chikorita's cute!
  • @aidanboyle7374
19:15 at this point the guide just assumes anyone who started with Chikorita has stopped playing
  • @ktr19772008
"I'm a youtuber, do you really expect me to know how to read?" I cracked up
  • @stinkboi6479
wait...YOU CAN TURN OFF THE SECURITY CAMERAS IN THE ROCKET BASE?! ive been playing this for 20 years how did i never figure that out?!
  • @joshen8915
18:47 This shows how bad Johto's level curve is. You've got 6 badges, battled level 30s, and they have a level 17 Drowzee. Jesus.

Gen 2 is probably the one that means the most to me. It was a big part of my childhood and they added so many new things. Also, Crystal's animations blew my mind as a kid.
  • When I was young, and playing through Pokémon Crystal for the first time, it made absolutely no sense to me that Sudowoodo is rock type, since it looks like a tree and even has "wood" in its name. Now, I am nearly 23 years old and have only just realized that SUDOwoodo is named as such because it is "PSEUDO wood".

14:13 Now that you mention that, I'm wondering this myself. It'd make a lot more sense to have gym leaders show off the new stuff so you know it exists, instead of hiding it in some far corner of the map. That'd make players excited to find them, especially if they seem rare.
  • @ssscout
can vouch youtubers do not in fact know how to read
  • @gibospartan6185
Honestly, I just can’t get over the fact the Nintendo of America ran through the game with teams of 4 Pokémon.

I had this book as a kid. It taught me about type disadvantage and showed different Pokemon I could use. This is why I have a larger affinity for Typhlosion, Ampheros, and Gravler. My wins skyrocketed after adding them to my party. I will always appreciate that book.
