Never used TikTok and never will... And it's good to see content creators like you alerting people of it's harms!

⚠️story time⚠️ One of my friends actually had TikTok tic once. I myself don't use TikTok but the tic was really getting out of control. She recovered but we didn't know how it happened. A few years later I see a online newspaper about it and told it to my friend. I told her that TikTok was the reason that it happened and that experience was really gruesome for her. She denied it and said that TikTok was the best thing that happened to her and it would never do such a thing to her. She could not survive without it. The point is that it's really bad to get obsessed with this sort of thing especially since TikTok is dangerous.

I like how you still point out some of the issues with TikTok without exaggerating it or sounding paranoid. I personally deleted TiTtok because it was addicting and greatly shortened my attention span. I don't really like how much people exaggerate the security concerns of tiktok, but I do find it kind of sketchy, and I think you did a good job with not exaggerating, and telling the truth.

Why is the fact, that this chinese app literally films and records you without your consent, completely ignored?

00:24 I think Instagram also does this, because when I scroll reels, I see the camera indicator randomly turning on. Idk gotta read the new terms and conditions.

I feel like a mature intellect for never downloading TikTok once in my lifetime.

What's most scary to me is that YouTube is noticing that TikTok is getting away with the unfair treatment to creators and they're beginning to replicate it..

Deleting TikTok was the best decision I've ever made. It was fun for a bit when it was still in the growing phase, but as it got bigger it just got worse, both in content and for my mental health. Deleting the app and not getting hooked before it exploded in popularity is 100% a decision I'm glad I made.

As a member of gen-z, I’m so glad I managed to avoid this hellish cesspool of an app. I personally think that people really started to gravitate towards it in 2020 (pandemic-induced boredom and loneliness), and now our society is having to deal with the consequences of shortened attention spans and the need for instant dopamine gratification.

The amount of predatory content or just plain misinformation that is seemingly allowed on TikTok, yet creators who call it out and make reference to it have their videos immediately removed and even banned, is VERY worrying.

It's amazing how clear Arun is to everyone, he can explain anything simply and quickly! Congrats on 13 mil!!!
