Also a great way to get rid of the awful dealership badges that they force on customers.
  • I hate dealer emblems. Pay thousands for a car and they have the nerve to put their emblem on my car. The emblem from the car company itself is fine but not the dealer. Thanks for showing me! Took mine off now I am going to get the residue off now.
  • @MrKarloz97
I'm gonna remove them off of my Impreza. But on a GTR I wouldn't take it off. That GTR emblem is more than just a badge. It's a symbol.
  • @exile9237
I would move the gt r emblem where the Nissan emblem sits.
  • @1994jhg
There is this orange stuff called Goo Be-Gone. Don't even need that razor. Spray it on let it sit and wipe it off. And your paint is perfect. I've taken off emblems and decals from my cars and motorcycle.
  • This video was very helpful and in super good quality. Not to loud, not to low. Back ground noise not loud and his voice is at the right volume. Great video

Point to note with burns: don't use ice to treat. It creates secondary burns. Use cool running water. Additionally: don't take a GTR badge off!
  • @xFlared
Instructions were complicated. I'm now covered in blood and on the run from police.

"..and I don't have any gloves on because I wanna feel the heat.." Feels the heat.
  • @ErosionSwords
Why did i just watch this? I don't even have a car...

RICH POP BOOM BLACK That should be a nissan color option.

extremely helpful video! I used 10lb test fishing line + blow dryer + Goo Gone and the dryer worked VERY quickly - can't imagine taking the risk of a heat gun when the blow dryer was so fast (30-45 sec per badge). after the badges were off, the excess adhesive tape rolled right off by hand (2016 Toyota Highlander), so the Goo Gone was just for cleanup and took 60 secs (I could have skipped it!). then wiped clean and hand waxed.  done!  total time = heating badge, 1 min.; fishing line, 2 mins.; removing excess adhesive, 5 mins; Goo Gone and wiping clean, 5 mins.  Difficulty level is like a 3/10. And this was my first time. Thank you!
  • Larry in my opinion you are undoubtedly the best detailer on YouTube. You are making me seriously consider starting my own detailing company in the future but I really wish you would show more of the finished product. You clearly take a lot of pride in your work. Would have been awesome to see this car with both badges off and fully polished
  • @dwoodog
Thanks for the tip, glad your back, I was starting to get lazy on some of my cleaning/detailing routine on my own vehicle, and need you to boot my ass and tell me to smarten up by putting out more videos!
  • @thephilshow9701
Thanks Larry, great info. Also a good idea to look inside the car to make sure the emblems do not have locator tabs or else you will have holes to deal with after removal.
  • @JeaneGenie
Excellent video. I followed this method to remove emblems from my vehicle and it worked perfectly. Can't tell it ever had emblems on it. Thanks for this
  • Larry, I don't know how I ever missed your postings. However, you are the BEST and I will continue to support you. Thank you, for teaching me some things I always wanted to know. God Bless!
