We begged, cried, screamed at our friends in Ft. Myers to leave. They refused. We finally heard from them this morning. They are in shock.

Some people dont understand that not everyone can just get up and go. Hotels were all booked, shelters full to the brim and remember a lot of people are hurting financially.

Hurricane Laura drove a pine tree through the roof of my house and I am 200 miles north of the Gulf of Mexico. Hurricanes are no joke. I am heartbroken for my brethren in Florida. 💔

I can't understand why one might think they can ride out a storm that was told to them was going to be very bad...especially if they live on an island! It just doesn't seem level headed to me and some of these people had little children. What were they thinking?

God can’t answer prayers unless we pray and there is very real power in prayer. EVERYONE, pray for people still trapped to be rescued, people who were hurt to heal, and for the souls of those who passed and their loved ones 🙏🏻

A lot of criticism for people who didn’t evacuate but don’t forget the news was telling Tampa and St Pete to evacuate and predicting a Cat 1-3, nothing near a Cat 4 in Fort Myers. They did the same stupid thing for Hurricane Michael, predicting it as a tropical storm 3 days before it came in as a Cat 5. These early crap predictions confuse people unnecessarily.

I think a lot of people forget or maybe they don’t realize that if a person is employed in a medical facility such as a hospital or assisted living facility they are required and have to sign a contract upon being hired, stating that they will stay behind and or travel with the patients and residents leaving their family to fend for themselves.

DeSantis has proved to be an honest man who takes action for the people of Florida. When he urged people to leave, I understood how bad this was going to be. My heart goes out to the people.

People please be cautious of who you donate your money to. Research and make sure they're a legitimate source that will actually go to helping Floridians. We live in a time of extreme corruption
