Towers are not included in this list! Such as the CN Tower (553m/1,815 ft) or the Canton Tower (604 m/1,982 ft) because they are not recognized as buildings.

All measurements are as defined and recognized by the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH). For more information you can visit their website:

The height is measured from the level of the lowest, significant, open-air, pedestrian entrance to the architectural top of the building, including spires, but not including antennae, signage, flag poles or other functional-technical equipment.

I updated this video! Watch the tallest buildings of 2020: https://youtu.be/HzSfSoYewYE Hi everyone! Before writing a comment about a skyscraper you think is missing in the video, please read the description! And about the Lakhta tower: I agree with everyone after making this video that I should have added the 462 m/1,516ft skyscraper in St. Petersburg (Russia) in the video. It would the 12th tallest building in the world and that would make it the tallest building in Europe! The building is architecturally topped out, but still far from finished. They announced the following information about the completion of the building in October 2018: "The final preparation of the business and public space by operators and tenants will take at least a year: completion of the finishing, fit-out of the premises, installation of equipment and improvement works. Willis Tower at 3:18 (AKA Sears Tower) is still the most hulking super tall out there. It lords over the city in an imposing manner because it’s not only tall but thick.
