You’ve become my “I will never shut up about this” booktuber, thanks for existing
  • @Midalias25
I just want to let you know that I was watching this with my cat. Then I paused it, but she looked at me weird and I resumed it and she started making biscuits. So basically this is the highest of compliments.

Never apologize for your former self loving a book. They meet us where we are when we need them. ❤
  • @kaseykaylynn
The Hating Game was a fever dream 5 star read for me that I WILL NOT justify to anyone at anytime. Thank you. 😅
  • @symwinter
I sometimes think of Shadow and Bone as Leigh Bardugo being told to write the most easily marketable ya series and once that blew up she was allowed to write whatever she wanted. I do love Nikolai though. What an icon. I am not immune.

i show my mom your videos whenever you post, and she started following you on goodreads and whenever i show her a tiktok/youtube vid that's not yours she always is like "where's lexi" thank you for accidentally improving my relationship with her :) stronger than the troops fr 💪💪

I need a discussion of the worst books that you've ever read in this style. The struggle to have to put some of them in a high tier because they're not as bad as others would be amazing and also I would hate to have to do that
  • Heartstopper would be in my I WILL NEVER SHUT UP ABOUT THIS. Because I don't. And I won't. Coincidentally, I'm re-reading all four graphic novels (for the 3rd? 4th? time) in honor of Alice Oseman's birthday. I'm 30 so your comment about reading this earlier on potentially changing the course of my life hit me HARD. I love them so much. Also, I ordered Betty immediately after you mentioned it. I'm nothing if not impulsive and easily influenced.

46 minutes of peak booktube 😭 thank u for such immaculate taste and content
  • @halcyon32
I could imagine a bit where you read the first chapter of a book and create a bingo card with predictions of tropes, cliches and events to see if you can get a bingo by the end of the book And I reaaaally need to read educated 😩

Omg The Song of Achilles altered my brain chemistry. I had to stop reading because I couldn’t see through my tears UGH it was so GOOD
  • @bunnie5394
the song of achilles blew up on tumblr a few years before it came up on booktok and i'm so glad everyone is also going feral over it because i think about it Constantly and i cried so much during it
  • @starrynites
if you’ve never tried it before, storygraph is a really great alternative to goodreads that allows for .25/.5/.75 ratings!
  • @marsarson3620
Verity was also a fever dream read that i initially liked and the only reason being was my brain had to be cooked after it. After like 2 weeks i actually thought about it and went wait… It is probably the most insane book ive ever read so it gets that award
  • @kes251
Left me in a crying puddle OR kicking/giggling are also my reasons for rating a book 5 ⭐. I feel validated 😂
  • @tjgill7374
Hearing you talk is like listening to my inner monologue. I’ve never been more at ease listening to someone talk and def never at that speed! I feel like someone like you who reads a lot different genres knows what’s up so I’ll be looking to you for book recs from now on!
  • truly my tbr has just become a list of every single book you have ever talked about. i've never had a booktuber whose opinions/recs i care about or put as much stock into as much as i do yours. so thanks for that !!
  • I will pay you to read Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier if you haven't yet. A classic that could very reductively described as "Verity if it actually deserved 5 stars"
  • @ruthiehawks3052
watching you talk about books you love just makes me immediately want to log off and read everything that's ever been written so i can attempt to find something i feel that passionately about. i love it so much pls never stop
