  • If Tony’s anthem was “things can only get better” his is “I’ll try to stop things getting worse”

People say starmer is boring, but we need a boring competence right now.
  • I’m cautiously optimistic. It absolutely can’t be worse than the tories, the question is how hard can Labour fight to maintain the seats it has won? Can it win even more the next election, and take enough from the tories to ensure they are not the opposition? How much real change will they make? I know a lot of people have doubts, but we have more hope now than we’ve bad for 14 years.

This is a good speech to be honest. His thing about turning politics back into a 'public service' is pretty on point
  • I like this speech mostly because it identifies and shows respect to the fact that they didn't win our trust, just an opportunity. Let's hope they do better than the tories and also get people to a place where they're not searching out Putin alligned populists who want to sell our NHS. Let us not follow in the footsteps of France and Germany who seem hell bent on undoing the things that worked in their countries.
  • What a Gentleman, respectful, polite, focused and above all Professional. Let’s hope it doesn’t take too long to undo the Damage 14yrs of Tory rule has done. 🌹
  • Labour didn't win, the Tories lost. Reform split the far-r vote. There is still a worryingly, shockingly huge number of people who support all things and people that have done nothing but harm to the UK. At least 40% of the UK still supports EVERYTHING thats happened to bring the UK to the ruin its in.

An actual adult in No. 10, a proper speech to boot!
  • I want to hear what he says when he sees what Johnson did with the wallpaper
  • “Tread more lightly on your lives” is such an unusual phrase
  • @peachewe2910
I don’t have high hopes for the Starmer government, but i pray they prove my pessimism wrong Good luck to the man 🫡
  • Harry Potter is all grown up. Good job Harry. Now work some magic for us all.

UK people to Keir Starmer: You got our votes, don't waste them.
  • @ToCoSo
Tories out! One step towards the left, centre first, then bring the people with them, I think we forget how right wing our country has become. The Tories collapsed but Labour were there to catch all the falling votes. Lets rebuild the pulic services, please!!

I am glad he is boring..politics is about running a country ..not peddling hate
  • @david-pb4bi
I hated this country so much because they constantly voted the Tories in I didn’t even support any British team in sporting events, now everything has changed. You may say I'm a dreamer, but not the only one.
