  • The fact that the Mexican version came in a glass bottle already gave it a huge advantage
  • @KentWav
Instructions unclear, went to Mexico to try the Coke, now I'm currently being held hostage by the cartel & they keep saying "Funkytown"
  • Yeah “Coke” From Mexico Is Obviously So Much Better Than The “Coke” From Anywhere Else 💀

It's also glass versus plastic. Even here in the UK I'd rather have a coke from a glass bottle, much better than plastic!😊

For all the people saying the other one is in a plastic bottle so it doesn't count, I've had the high fructose corn syrup version in a bottle and the Mexican version with the cane sugar still blows it away

The Mexican version is the original Coke recipe without the actual coke. The soda was originally created as a medicine but failed. The creator accidently made the beverage. It was originally only called Coke because it was made from cocaine but after the FDA was created, or something happened, i forget, they had to remove it and the name changed to coca cola. The second CEO switched to HFCS to lower prices and compete with new competition. It was expensive to get the can sugar from Mexico ... which is why Mexico still uses the cane sugar, they are the largest producers of it. Sorry, I'm a foodie and food nerd. There's a whole series on Hulu about the food that built America.

Agree 💯 I don’t drink much coke anymore but once in a while I will have a ice cold Mexican Coke! The best!
  • @muscl5360
It's because it's bottled in a glass vessel not poisonous leaching plastic.
  • @cristy7521
It's also stored in a glass bottle which makes a huge difference in the taste

Mexican Coke is sweetened with cane sugar. USA Coke is sweetened with high fructose corn syrup. I have tried both, and Mexican Coke tastes better.

the glass bottle really helps manitain that fresh flavor, but funny enough, in Mexico most sodas is sold in plastic bottles, glass ones are usually bought in food stands or when you are specificlally looking for it, we usually drink soda on the go so it's easier to carry a plastic bottle than you can close rather than a hard bulky glass bottle
  • Can confirm, as someone who lives in Australia, that coke in sooo much better with sugar rather than high fructose corn syrup. For those who are wondering, high fructose corn syrup is banned in Australia, as are lots of ingredients that are typically used in American cuisine. I havent tried the mexican version, but i have a feeling it'll taste similar to what im used to. I have tried American coke before, and it was really not good.

As long as they use cane sugar it will taste better, no matter which country. The glass bottle also makes a difference!
  • @Nonifull
Check your local taco shop. They usually stock the Mexico bottled coke and it tastes like the older version. It's very good!
  • @EnZo7992
That McDonald’s coke in Mexico must hit like straight crack 😂
  • @mytzelk8876
For the Europeans here, we have something most similar to Mexican coke. In most of Europe they use sugar beet, which tastes basically the same as cane sugar.
