WWE 2K23 How to make Universe Mode FUN!!!

Damn man I miss wwe svr2011 wwe12, 13 and 2k14 those were absolute bangers with their univer modes, It was so smart in terms of how it did things , it was like you had the idea book it and the game takes your idea and runs with it while adding or adjusting how it goes, I remember 2011 I changed a wrestler who was supposed to be in a no.1 contender match for a championship and when I switch the guy, he came out and attacked the guy I replaced him with which was so awesome and shocking at the time

Nothing more fun then spending 2 hours adjusting every single superstars rivalries, ally’s, managers, exc.

You could also put some of the lower card wrestlers on NXT to thin out Raw and Smackdown and boost NXTs roster.

What this mode needs and I've stated this since the beginning of time, is, a Number #1 Contender match type. Thay way you can have whatever match type you want and thr game will award thr winner and that contender. Than your PPVs with a match for a title. This sort of creates somewhat of a story between characters. The game could run auto interferences, all kinds of things spawning from that match type.

Y'all remember 2K12 when you could book shows to actually be fun and not just wrestling? Like you could have undertaker appear with the lights out. And allies/enemies mattered. Like Shawn Michaels and triple h would team up in a triple threat match. We should go back to that shit

they need to bring back promos

I usually like to create my own Promotions and mix around the superstars of the biggest promotions, like WWE, AEW, TNA, NJPW, TJPW and Stardom. Then create interesting, type of Forbidden door booking, between the superstars of the different promotions. Like Drew McIntyre vs Will Oespray, or Giulia vs Becky Lynch, Roman Reigns vs main eventers of other promotions, etc....

someone also spend more time adjusting things than playing matches? that always happens to me xd

How I worked the auto-booking, was mainly fixing the divisions, how I wanted, who's main-eventers and midcarders, then tweak the show, how many matches and type of matches. And the booking is tied with the divisions ranking, similar to MMA promotions like UFC and One. I mainly use Sim AI vs AI, then watch the show and PPV, as I watch the real deal. I mainly use my weekly shows as a build up/momentum for the PPV. Similar how they do in NJPW and Stardom, they use the house/smaller shows to build up to big monthly PPV. Basically, I create the rivalries around the booking for the PPV and then play the weekly shows around those rivalries. If those superstars are in factions, makes it easier to auto-book filler weekly show matches until the PPV. 3:56 those sometimes occur to me, aswell. In those cases, I simply edit the match, turn in, a backstage brawl, tag match or change their opponent, if Gunther is facing Big E in the PPV, make Gunther fight Xavier Woods or Kofi, instead of Big E or make Big E face other Imperium guy, etc...

one thing about universe mode is if you want to see your character at all on the card listing then put him or her in the top 10 power ranking or ranking if you do this and then pick superstar mode you'll get better matches then getting random BS if your character is beyond 30 on the ranking system then the game will see it as ok your on the bottom just put you in some random match same as vince would see it, i treat 23 as a continuation of 22 making my female character again the way she was, slightly different face, and then put her back on top 5 ranking where she left off last season doing that is where i found that you'll have a better time with universe mode having better rivalries if the game thinks your top 10 - 5 in ranking

they could turn classic mode in universe into a text based season mode similar to sd sym and hctp and even sd2 kyr and svr 06 if they work more on it and add more cutscenes to the mode.

My formula is simple, set your superstars, teams and belts up how you want. I turn off auto rivalries. Book my own. And i ONLY play the game when it's on TV (I'm in Aus so Tuesdays and Saturdays. Sundays if there's a ppv. And i get so much longevity. I do a draft after summerslam and wrestlemania backlash (I treat summerslam and backlash as my resets for new stories)

I always have the habit of blending a bit of reality to it, like we see on tv. I usually have a hard time booking Roman after he loses the titles though.

Super late comment but just trying this game out now and did the superstar mode with my caw. Before I started I intentionally placed my caw last in the rankings for the heavyweight title on Raw i believe i was in #15th place or something like that, while in sandbox mode. Then i switched back to superstar and booted it up. My first match was set to be against Roman Reigns lol. I couldnt believe it, so I’m hoping your video helps make this experience better.
