Wow holy crap! I'm really glad you found my quick tutorials helpful. Damn I remember watching your tutorials about line art and art style when I got into art 1.5 years ago, and your art style is so recognizable. Thank you so much for mentioning me <3

As a professional rigger, this was a little painful to watch, but i commend the effort!! If you're ever gonna try this again, Heres a big tip; work on the small stuff first, then work your way up! Same with the deformer heirarchy! Also; Z goes above everything else! ALSO, increase your warp deformer divisions if you want more detailed warping!! Art style is 0 issue if you warp right :> the brush selection tool and increased divisions are your friend when it comes to distortion!

"I thought making a vtuber would be easy..." No human language can describe how much I relate to this.

"I thought making a vtuber was easy" I feel her

I love how my mom can recognize you only by the voice, I was watching this video on full volume and she said "Are you watching Lavender again? Let me see, let me see" (she loved the character but I had too explain her what a V-tuber is... she didn't understand)

I love how LavanderTowne refers to hair pieces as “tendrils”, makes it sound like their hair is alive
  • I just love your thought process for the concept: "Hmm, characters, perhaps animal inspirations... Oh I know! An adorable dead cow!"

suggestion for eyes: 1. make the mesh by hand, make the points follow the curve of the actual eyelid so when it is deformed, the program doesnt have a aneurysm. 2. USE THE 4-DIVISION TOOL. it will help the animation SOOOO much. (the auto connect button does too!! i suggest looking up an entire tutorial for mesh making, it takes time but its very helpful!) 3. when using the curve tool, only use as much as you need for the line to follow the eyelid. i usually only use 3-4, and it makes it so much more simple.
  • When you mentioned warping could mess up the drawing completely I already imagined an animation for her where she suddenly just completely distorted as a prank to scare the espectators since she's a ghost XD

“It would sound like a MacBook running Minecraft with shaders on” Me: You had to call my laptop out like that..
  • @GachaEmika
gosh that title is literally everyone learning live2d for the first time LOL the design is super cute!! <3 I love the vid :D
  • The tall, skinny, one-eyed Planchette feels like a cursed relic from an alternate timeline. 😳
  • @Mushr00mG0ddess
“It would sound like a MacBook running Minecraft with shaders” is my new favorite quote
  • I love how Haley starts out talking really quiet and shy, then after a minute or two she starts talking louder and more passionate about her art. 😌💕
  • @rubystudios_yt
You could've had the number on her tag 1300. If 1 and 3 we're close enough, it would read as B00. I absolutely love her design, all of your characters have so much love and effort in each and every one.

I've considered making a v-tuber. I decided my theme would be glitches and bugs, because I thought that'd excuse any flaws I end up with, making the overall project easier. As I think about it though, I realize that, although it doesn't require as much artistic skill, it requires a lot more technical thinking, as well as trying to think of how to randomize changes to the model mid-stream. For the base art, I was thinking of either using either something that's a mix of various generic/default models, OR taking inspiration from MissiongNo. and pulling the base image from junk data, and then rigging the decompressed and rendered junk data as if there's a humanoid there.

re: gimmick suggestions - I think it would be really cute if the cowbell aesthetic was incorporated into her apron! This video really helped put live2d into perspective for me, as someone who's been wanting to make my own vtuber for a while now, and I'm really excited for part 3! I've already watched this video twice lol
