Athletes with male chromosomes competing in female events at the Olympics 'unfair' to women

Published 2024-08-01
Sky News host Rita Panahi discusses two Olympic athletes with male chromosomes competing in the female boxing event.

"It is unfair for the women to have to take action and miss out on events to have some sort of meaningful change to have sort of security that this isn't going to happen again and again," Ms Panahi said.

"You don't just go to the Olympics you start training as a child.

"In many instances, it's years of grind and sacrifice, and to have your place taken by a man or to have to boycott an event because a man is competing.

"It's not very fair on the women."

Letting males, posing as females beat female boxers is a shameful violation of women's rights.

All the girls should just not compete on the day... walk out

Any sane person would call this assault and battery, not sports.

An announcer guy made a harmless joke about women swimmers and was immediately fired. So if women wanted no men in sports, this would happen tomorrow. We keep saying "women" need to stand up. But it's women pushing this nonsense.

Reminds of the nursery rhyme about Georgie Porgie. He makes the girls cry but runs away from the boys.

ALL the women in EVERY Olympic sport should boycott this and not compete. Consider that if they get away with doing this for Boxing, they will soon allow it for all the other sports.

Boxing does not belong in the Olympics. That said, I wish the women would band together and refuse to box them. The Olympics will stop being a top venue for womenā€™s sports.

With all due respect, Iā€™m just as mad as the women for going in the ring, as I am with the OIC. No woman should have stepped in the ring with that male body. What did she think would happen? It is obvious the system isnā€™t going to protect women and they need to protect themselves. They should be using this world stage to boycott those events. That would give her/them worldwide support and will end that nonsense forever.

But according to Hollywood, one small woman can defeat several large men in combat.
