That color reminds me of those banana candies you get from the 25 cent machine. Except the machine had been facing the sun, and the hard candy has faded.

You dodged the infamous optispark bullet! Nothing else matters.
  • The front left and right rear tires are mounted backwards on the rims.. Love the channel ! happy to see you're back making regular vids!
  • The tires look backwards according to my OCD. Millennial must have installed them. $5000 would be my guess for the value of the car after you fix it up. In Colorado Corvettes stay in the garage until our short summer.Glad to see a Chevy in your new shop.

Best thing about C4 vettes there's more experts than cars so all problems can be solved

Great buy. I rebuilt my 87 Doug Nash last year but I am having a challenge sealing the oil pan 100%. Looking forward to seeing how a pro does the job so I can pick up some tricks...lol. BTW...be careful removing and torqueing down the oil pan bolts on the nash. They tend to strip out easily.

I’m a hobbyist flipper that has never lost on a car in 48 years until my 1995 C4 got its teeth into my wallet! In 12/22 I found my ‘95 base at a tow yard from an Estate liquidation. 98K miles, all there in seemingly age appropriate good condition for $5,000. So far I have $4k into it and it’s a legit #2 driver. All it needs now is another $4K to make it a real legit #2 show car. … but as a flipper I’m not that guy! It’s now safe and reliable (new opti-spark) super legit sports car that can zip coast to coast! I hope it’s worth $9k to the right guy. Bottom line, as my first ever Corvette I think I’ll do ok. One thing is for sure, it won’t be my last! The only flipper I’ve owned that’s gotten more attention was a 1979 Subaru Brat! 😂😂😂 Honestly, it’s easy to see why the C4 was the best selling generation of all time! It’s aging very well, the 300hp LT1 edition cars are super fun to drive, it still feels mechanical enough to have that classic muscle car experience while driving, handles great, and the value in smiles per mile is unsurpassed in the Sports car world … but not for long! The C4 is coming into it’s own now that the C5 is beginning to trough. My next Corvette will be the C6. It doesn’t have the classic styling of the C4 nor the awkward bloat of the C5, but I notice as I survey the field of the flipper market there a fewer C6 Corvettes for sale then most other generations … and that’s saying something! Good luck and happy driving!
  • Looking forward to seeing the end result of all restoration and repairs! A similar (albeit clean) example sold on Bring-a-Trailer for $11,000 about a year ago but that had 1/5 of the mileage compared to this. Given the economic slowdown and the mileage I would say $9,000 would be a fair asking price once fully restored but I would not accept anything less than $7,000.
  • I have a 96 LT-1 coupe Z-51 performance package that's tuned with JETS DST Tuner. I love my C4, it's pretty quick after a good tune and some performance mods. Has allot more torque with 20+ more horsepower over stock.

Cool I have 1 good to see my model worked on directly so I can attempt to maybe get in there and fix some stuff
  • I need to get a 1990 ZR-1 ASAP. The C4 body is growing on this Gen X-er
  • @wackey3455
cant wait to see it when it all done. lookes like you have your hands full not to full i hope
  • @ronb9901
Well, at least it runs. I wouldn’t have paid more than $3k for it because of all the work it still needs. Very nice examples of those that don’t need much if any work can be had for $10-15k

I still have my first Vette I bought in 1980 at 23yrs old...A C3...56k miles and it's a sleeper thats been modified. I don't race it but I know what it can do. I have a 2022 also....I like my C3 better. Not really into all the crap that the new one has. Every time I look at it I think of the Ferrari I could of bought if I saved a bit more money. The new Vette isn't a keeper for me. Not a fan of the C4s. Good luck with your plans. You'll do a good job on it.

easiest way to repair the storage bin is to graft a new donar bin in. yellow colour very rare and that looks to be factory. nice find.
