Kingdom Hearts 3 ReMind - Data Dark Riku No Damage (Critical Mode)

I like the part where he says "One more!" and then attacks three more times

Considering, if I recall, this is Riku controlling Sora through a computer, Riku is just fighting is old online edgy persona.

The best part about Dark Riku is that his voice lines really exemplify what he is: an incredibly edgy 14-year old.

Dev 1: "So what should we do with Dark Riku's data fight? Dev 2 after doing a line of coke: "Give him all of his attacks but he just button mashes them. Give him KH2 Reflega for good measure." Dev 1: Fuckin brilliant.

He even fights like he's being controlled by a human player. Attack canceling, blocking to prevent punishment, switching from offense to defense. Even his stun animation is the same. This fight was a nostalgia trip for me!

Dark Riku saying "I'm unstoppable" and I'm like "yeah, you keep coming back constantly." Also, having flashbacks to "THERE'S NO WAY YOU'RE TAKING KAIRI'S HEART".

Dark Riku constantly asking for your opinion on the ReMind DLC "YOU LIKE IT!?!"

"STRONGER darknes- THINK FAST" Jeez riku calm down, you're Sonic Adventure 2'ing your own voice lines

I kind of like how this fight incorporates elements from the many Riku boss fights through the series. He's got his original Dark Aura and energy shockwaves from KH, the Helm Split attack from Chain of Memories, the barrier and Darkstrom from 385/2, and his tendency to sent out dark mines in circles mirrors Data Riku's danger block attack in Coded. It's like a mix-and-match of gameplay from hell! PD: I also like that his boss theme is simply the remix used for his cutscene with Xigbar, a song fans have been asking about for quite some time.

I really like this boss. My favorite part is when he interrupts himself during his battle quotes ;)

"You're Riku, He's Riku, I'M Riku. Are there any other Rikus I should know about?" Data Riku, while attacking multiple times: "One more!" Scream

The benefit of him being such a berserker is that he doesn’t actually change his fight patterns after losing half his health, unlike the other data fights Also, something to note He’s actually vulnerable each time he does his big multi waves, even during his Dark Aura attack So you can actually interrupt Dark Aura

Imagine what this would look like if KH1 Sora had to fight this version of Darku. Guess Anseem must be fuming right now as he could have won in a separate timeline

Guys. I don’t know if Sora likes it or not.

The worst thing about this fight are the unblockable red sparks that shoot out the ground

I love how this fight looks, especially how Riku feels like a player with his dodging and shielding, but damn do I have trouble reading him. Also his DM is the bane of me.

This gave me so much nostalgia from all the childhood memories of dying contently to this guy in vanilla KH1.😢😭😨🤕
