Following the events of The Granolah Arc, Goku and Vegeta continue their training on Beerus' Planet to prepare for their eventual battle with Black Frieza. Meanwhile on Earth, Trunks and Goten, now teenagers, have taken on Superhero alter egos named "Saiyaman X-1" and "Saiyaman X-2". Juggling both their superhero exploits and high school classes, the boys unknowingly cross paths with the scientific genius "Dr. Hedo"; grandson of Dr. Gero, who's goal is to create the greatest androids the Universe has ever known. Six months after Hedo's release from prison, he's confronted by the Red Ribbon army's new commander "Magenta", son of Commander Red, to create an android powerful enough to take over the world. In agreement due to the allure of the army's research funds, Hedo works in silence, unbeknownst to Earths hero's who carry on with their everyday lives. Eventually, a pair of androids created by Hedo named Gamma 1 and Gamma 2 appear, initially giving Piccolo and a roped in Gohan a run for their money, as the half Saiyan was faced with the kidnapping of his daughter. The battle rages on, our hero's faced with perhaps the toughest opponents they've ever faced; but with the help of the Dragon God Shenron and a little motivation from his master, Gohan and Piccolo grow stronger to push back the android threat. However, a greater threat looms underground, a creature named "Cell Max", who, released prematurely, rampages on Earth, risking the safety of Planet. Now, with their backs against the wall, Gohan, Piccolo, and even the Gamma's must work together to destroy Cell...in order to save the world.

I just find it hilarious that the amount of time and effort Bulma goes through to constantly look young using shenron, and meanwhile her mother never aged since dragon ball or even the Jaco prequel.

The paneling was on point, like always! I that it was so wholesome that in the Dragon Ball Super Manga Chapter 103 on the last page, Piccolo waved back to Pan's teacher. I'm really glad that Toriyama-sensei added that detail. May he rest in Peach. 🕊

God's, angels, demons exist but Trunks has a hard time believing that ghost are real despite the fact that Gotenks has a ghost move.

I really enjoyed this arc, it was fun to see a more slice of life side to dragon hall and to have Trunks, Goten and Mai actually get fleshed out more.

This was awesome and I'm so glad you put the Trunks and Goten arc. I honestly forgot about that and wish we got it in the anime/movie. Also, whenever I read the portion with Goku going to pick up Pan from school, I always imagine Bruce Falconer's New Earth song playing during those panels. It just feels so fitting, especially with Piccolo waving goodbye, as if it's Toriyama waving goodbye to use all.

The stuff surrounding the movie that was added in is so good. Not to say the movie stuff isn’t but I’ve seen it. But the ending with Pan is so good :)
