Today's video decision was based on need! And the need was light and decoration! I have wanted to replace the lampshade in the corner of my room for a very long time and just hadn't got around to it, but! today was the day. I wanted a really simple design, that caught the light- literally! So, this one was tricky for me as it has no glitter, no mica! Woah!

Baking Polymer Clay:
it's often in Celsius not Fahrenheit, which is why I don't always quote times & temperatures. I recommend using Polymer Clay packet instructions. However, a good tip is to bake no higher than 100 degrees Celsius. It's better to bake at a lower temperature for longer, than higher for shorter.

Larger clay items need longer- always check after 10 mins- sometimes things fall over in the oven & can be rescued at this point. Watch for burning! Especially white as it's quick to burn (don't know why...) and can turn yellow!

Once out of the oven wait for it to cool before thinking it's baked- if it feels soft to touch, you can poke a fingernail in it or a fingerprint, back in the oven it goes!

Electric ovens work better as the temperature is even, gas oven temperatures fluctuate do not keep a steady temp for baking polymer clay.
