  • Thanks for reviewing a Touring model. Everyone's only reviewing the turbo, and I'm glad someone put a spotlight on this trim version. The turbo is cool and all, but I'm really, really interested in learning more about the cylinder deactivation Mazda's developing with this particular engine.

I've almost had my 2017 Mazda6 Touring for a year now and it's the best decision I've made. Something about the way it drives has me always wanting to go for a spin, I never get tired of it. Great first car for someone starting their first job out of college, looking to treat themselves with something beautiful but also not going overboard. Biggest bang for your buck when it comes to this amazing machine. Highly recommend!

People these days forget about good old Mazdas!! These cars are nice, reliable and not so expensive like Accords and Maximas

I work at Enterprise car rental and have had the opportunity to drive a wide variety of vehicles . There are many good cars out there , but for some reason when I drove the Mazda 6 , I fell in love instantly. I'm currently in the market for one.

Thanks for the review G Ryders. I really like your video organization too. Very straight forward.
  • We've had this exact car (2018 Mazda 6 Touring) since we got it in 2018, and it is a very nice car. The handling is amazing, and the steering is not overly light and very communicative (I think by virtue of being mounted directly to the sub-frame). It handles better than my old 2000 Acura Integra (and that is high praise). The interior is luxurious and everything is just in the right place. If I had any complaint is that the stereo that comes with the Touring is a bit weak (it is the non-Bose stereo). It does come with Apple CarPlay (I think Mazda made that standard in late 2018 and activated it on 2018 models sold before the change. When we got the car they said we would come back in a couple of months and they would activate it but a couple of months later I got in and the car had Apple CarPlay so it was an over the air update. Sure, it could be more powerful, but truth be told, I suspect the turbo engine would change the feel of the car. As it is it feels playful and nimble. To be honest, the power with the base 4 cylinder engine is more than adequate. It is perfect as it is (also, the Mazda dealership (Mazda of Concord CA) has been absolutely great). We've had it now 3+ years and have had absolutely no problem/issue whatsoever. The car just feels solid and high quality.

Thanks for reviewing the Touring. Everyone else is just reviewing the turbo GT and Signature.
  • I just bought the Touring a couple months ago, used. I. am. in. love. I was bummed it didn't have turbo (my previous car had a turbo engine), but this thing is quick enough and has plenty of power. I love driving this car. I just drove from MD to TN and the entire trip was great with the cruise control slowing down when I had my eyes off the road and almost rear ended trucks and cars. Wow. It sped back up too. Neat. After driving a Sonic hatchback this is a huge upgrade and it feels super spacious. I still can't figure out how to use the sport button. Mazda added Apple Car Play for free btw. This is a GREAT used car to buy.

Thanks for a good review . And thanks for reviewing the non turbo version.

Excellent captures of the car itself. The 6 already looks good but it's nice when someone catches it at just the right angle. That portion of road where you sped off and kept curving around, you should continue to use it and make it a signature spot for your videos. Maybe think of creative ways to use it. Seems like a beautiful spot for great angle captures, slo-mo shots, and who doesn't like to hear the engine speeding off? ... Keep up the good work 👍
  • Hi big G , so happy to see someone focused on this trim , I’ve gotta small question , how long does it take from 0-60 MpH ? Thanks a lot , keep up the good work
