I'd always thought what this song really needed was a Chinese guy doing Tai Chi. Glad to see that oversight finally resolved.

Everybody can learn to sing, but to express feelings this way it's a rare miracle

The imperfections are what allow this song to become perfect.

Excuse me for my bad english but I’m a french girl. Perfect Day is the most beautifull song of the world. The man which does Thaï schi is the professor for Lou Reed because Lou Reed does Thaï schi. It’s an excellent idea. I miss you Mister Lou Reed.

Seeing Lou Reed is very comforting for me. His music has been a constant companion through my life. His genius was a gift that very few can match.

I really love this version. Lou's rough vocals sound great and are complimented nicely by Anthony.
  • It's always a perfect day listening to Lou Reed's timeless music. Perfect Day is my favourite song.

It’s 2022 and I still come back to this version when I’m lonely or sad. It somehow gives me hope and helps me keep hanging on. Antony is amazing as is the rest of the band

That is not just a "backing singer"! That is the legend Anthony Hegarty of Anthony and the Johnsons, an incredible musician and a great friend of Lou's till the end.

I’ll never understand how such talent never took the world by storm. But, we who knew still appreciate quite how good they were.
  • While enrolled at Syracuse University, he studied under poet Delmore Schwartz, who he said was "the first great person I ever met", and they became friends. He credited Schwartz with showing him how "with the simplest language imaginable, and very short, you can accomplish the most astonishing heights." -- this is what made LOU an iconic figure.

This still gives me chills and goosebumps all over my body. Rest in sweet peace Lou Reed <3

This may be the perfect version of the perfect song

For Lou, a perfect day was to see how a dry leaf fell off the branch while dancing with the wind, that is the greatness of Lou.
