In 1985 I was in Rothenburg for the Christmas Market. I went at night, and there was a brass band of older men in uniforms playing carols. I will remember it all of my life. It was magical. Your video brought back all of the memories.

I got goosebumps during the clip about the Stolpersteins. My great grandmother was murdered in Auschwitz and the Stolperstein Project vetted her biography and created a bronze stone for her.
  • Thank you for taking us along with you on this excursion or on the ship I should say also. Glad you had fun.❤❤❤❤❤🛳️🦩⚓️

I love the unique architecture of the Bavarian region. It’s why I love international travel so much, each place is so different and has so much to offer. I’m also a professed photographer bug 😂

Dee's photos were spectacular!!! Looks like a lovely place to amble around and explore. I was thinking you can't really watch your diet easily on this ship, as they are always bringing extra goodies to try. FUN ~!~

I'm so excited for the rest of your journey! I spent two weeks in Germany and visited Wiesbaden, Nuremberg, and Frankfurt. It was absolutely amazing! Have a wonderful time.

In retrospect, you are probably glad you weren't able to see the opening ceremony. I know you go to church when you are home. It rubbed me and many others the wrong way. I am loving your travel documenting your travels.

I’ve seen some walking tours of the Christmas market in Rothenburg and it looks amazing!!
  • When you get to Italy, a stop in Messina is the Astronomical Clock tower. It has a 12 minute show with carousels and moving statues. Loving your Germany vlogs….
  • This town has been my favorite. Appropriate that you described it as Fairy Tale, with the references to Pinocchio and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (well, sort of fairy tale). I could picture the King’s henchman swirling around that little square, sniffing for children. Seems like you are having Christmas (shopping) in July, yes? I’m glad you opted for a second tour that day! Sehr gut.

That clock display on the square is for sure one of the most underwelming one's ever seen. 😂 Your dessert is litereally translated as Treecake ( Like a log ( not a bombcake 😂) It looks tasty.

Love this series. Dorade is pronounce Doh Rahde. It is my favorite fish, aka Orata.

I have the same feeling Sweet Caroline😢 that should only be heard at a Redsox game
  • @stevebartley628
I don’t know about Chitty Chitty, but ‘The Wonderful World of the Brothers Grimm’ was filmed there

My last Sneeball was moister than the first one I had. Part of a day is TOO SHORT A TIME in Rothenburg. Last fall I spent 4 days on my 5th visit
