A busy first period saw the lead shift twice as Eddy Spytz opened the scoring for St. George’s before Yale struck back with two from Shaun Hildebrandt and Macguire Newman. However, Jacob Schwartz (2G, 1A) and Brock Cripps (1G, 2A) would connect for a hail-mary play to close out the first. Schwartz would add another in the second, but Yale’s Zephyr Harms scored a shorthanded goal to force an overtime. Cripps would assert his dominance just 16-seconds into the extra frame, firing a low shot to beat Tyson Kuiack (34/38) to secure the W for St. George’s.
