David Zyla gives examples of how he finds these colours in his youtube videos! He always uses a lighter and darker skin example. I really recommend watching those parts of his videos to anyone else who’s curious. I thought I would end up with mostly browns, but that’s not the case! You kind of have to look at the colours artistically rather than exactly if that makes sense?? Thanks for summarising this theory 💕

This is the first time I have heard of this approach. And I've very frustrated lately with trying to find the right eye shadow, lip stick and blush colors. I think the suggestions of taking pictures and for using the blue/green from my vein and specific color flecks from my eyes may help me find better cosmetics. - thanks

Thank you for the helpful video. I am in the process of reading David Zyla's book and am happy to find your video. I am a bit confused on the essence color. It is supposed to be "your version of white" but it seems to be your version of skin tone. Therefore, is there really a white version such as pure white, soft white, cream or ivory? What is the name of the program you are using for creating your palette?

The last color (tranquil) is the lightest..? But why you filled in at the end ‚black‘
