This is a deeply personal video. The song was written in 1977, my then-girlfriend Rina and I were going through an extremely rough patch and I was leaving for the road - again. We were living in Carmel Valley at that time, and as I was leaving, I was so frustrated that I pulled off to the side of the road next to a sand-sculpted cliff, pulled a sheet of paper from somewhere and wrote this song in one sitting.

Eventually we worked through all our (my) issues and have been happily together to this day.

At the end of January, 2024, I was going through my old sheet music and came across that paper, and realized this is still an interesting tune today. So here it is, warts and all. The photos are literally everything I could find of my wonderful wife (she has well over 6000 pictures on her computer, ALL of those of HER (a dozen or so) have been used. But the music is the real story of overcoming adversity for a lifetime of love.
