This might sound horrible, but I think he chooses older women because they're the "easier" option. I think there's a fear of rejection with women his own age that doesn't apply as much to older women. I would imagine they are flattered that a younger man would want to date them, so they jump at the opportunity. That is obviously an overgeneralization, but just a thought.

my nan passed away in 2019 and just before she went she made us all promise that we would mention stormzy in her eulogy. none of us know how she even discovered him or if she even liked his music but she sure as hell fancied him like crazy 💀 she told us we had to mention him and that if he attended then that would be even better 😭 she was seriously not the type you would have EVER expected to even know the name stormzy, let alone watch his music vids and fancams. anyway, he was mentioned in the eulogy in the list of her favourite things / interests and it got incredibly mixed reactions from the other elderly attendees. great time, one of the best funerals ive been to, 9/10 x

My grandfather had a preference for younger women after he divorced my grandmother, which was before I was born. I only knew him to date women around 15-20 years younger than him and my mother HATED it. They were so close to her age, and it drove her insane. This is bringing back weird interactions I had with his girlfriends through the years. 😅

I think the reason describing women as ripe is creepy is bc it's an extension of the language of consumption used to describe us so often. We are commodities to be consumed/destroyed, according to language we use at the moment
