Thanks for the video, although my LG dishwasher is different and the drain pump was different I also found a piece of broken glass stuck in the drain pump. As soon as I got that piece out the pump blades started moving freely and problem solved. Time taken to fix the actual problem 15 mins, time taken to get the dishwasher out and put it back 2 hours lol. Thanks again.

Great video. My LG is five years old and I got the OE message. After watching yours and the comment at 3:24 about your pump having a piece of rubber pulled in from above I took the drain line loose and used my air compressor to blast air though the hose to spit water out of the filter (removed) sump. Out blasted the water and a small piece of what looks like a molded rubber piece that tapers to close a hole or act as a gromment to protect chafe or something, thumbnail size and half round. Now running my dishwasher to see if solves it or if I need a new pump.

Our 3yr LG dishwasher has had drain issues from the 1st week it was installed. That first time, we had a repairman out who told us it didn't have a disposal (news to us). They advised we clean our dishes well before putting in the dishwasher and clean the filter and lines on a regular basis. Is this normal? On average my poor husband is draining, cleaning and reassembling the dw every couple of months when it fails to drain on its own.

I had the error code oe. Water was still in the dishwasher so I replace the drain pump. Ran it again and same error. This time I disconnected the drain hose from the sink side and dishwasher side and used my shop vac to blow air from the drain hose sink to dishwasher side. Then one of my kids puffy sticker things came out of the hose. Problem solved and did not even have to remove the dishwasher.

What is that thing next to your faucet shooting water out? Mine doesn't (to my knowledge) have that. I installed it myself and I'm wondering if I should have that??
  • @cliffprystie1
Bingo. Found some other thin rubber material that had restricted the out flow.
