I'm in my 40s and I've still yet to have any trans or gay people knock on my door with literature to try to recruit and fund raise to me. I'm almost insulted by it :P
  • As a lesbian who's dated trans women, I can confirm we exist. Trans women are women and I like em!
  • Piers: Where's my straight flag?! Also piers: Are you assuming I'm straight?!
  • @tokkia1384
The audacity of ā€œWhy canā€™t straight people have a monthā€ when literally the entirety of Western European history has been one long stretch of straight pride
  • As a straight person, we don't need a flag. We don't need corporations bending over backwards to cater to us once a month. We don't need representation in entertainment. We don't need to remind anyone that we exist and that we are human beings. We just don't because there's nobody trying to erase us as we speak and I want there to be a point where LGBT people don't need any of that either. Until that day comes, wave those flags and have those parades and be your best selves because we love you and we stand with you.

"You're a straight flag" was my favorite šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

ā€œIā€™m not triggered by a rainbow flag Iā€™m triggered by the fact that everywhere I go for a calendar month everything has to be a rainbow flagā€ So you are triggered by rainbow flagsā€¦
  • On the subject of misgendering...using the incorrect pronouns for someone who's pronouns you don't know isn't misgendering. Once someone has told you their pronouns and you then *intentionally* use the incorrect pronouns for them is the issue.
  • When they say ā€œdonā€™t shove it down our throatsā€ what they actually mean is ā€œdonā€™t do it anywhere where I may happen to come across it. Donā€™t do it in video games because I could be playing video games. Donā€™t do it on TV because I could be watching TV. Donā€™t do it in movies because I might be at the movies. Donā€™t do it in books because I could be at the library.ā€ Donā€™t do it in their life of sight & itā€™s all good šŸ˜Š Their criticism of pride is purposefully vanilla so itā€™s easy for them to flip & change their position on a whim depending on the situation.

    Iā€™m sorry, ā€œYOUā€™RE a straight flag!ā€ absolutely sent me. šŸ˜‚šŸ˜šŸ˜

"You can be proud of your sexuality, but why do you have to force it on me" Hey tomi, you can be proud of being anti-abortion, but why do you have to force that on us?
  • @ErutaniaRose
I'm gonna keep celebrating pride because it's disability pride month in July, and I am disabled and queer, lol. Love your videos--always great to watch when I need to just chill on a rainy day.

Complaining about rainbow flags/decorations existing in june is the exact same as complaining about christmas trees existing in december, the ā€œshoving x down everyoneā€™s throatā€ doesnā€™t happen, lgbt+ people are not peer pressuring, harassing, or haggling anyone into becoming lgbt, its pretty much non existent

One of my favorite shirts Iā€™ve seen at Pride is ā€œDyke Alumā€ for trans masc people. So many trans folks who previously identified as a lesbian feel at home in the lesbian community and could still identify with that period of their life and with that identity. Non-binary lesbians often still identify that way just because it feels right.
  • So wholesome seeing Annamarie blushing every time Samantha says something snide, i'm loving their dynamic, I hope they collab again

As a bisexual woman, I love using the word "gay" to describe myself. It's whimsical and feels like an umbrella term now in the modern era.
  • @GeteMachine
Their arguments really just boil down to yelling "why do the queers have to remind me they exist?"
