  • Powerscalers use this feat for Superman. But it seems clear it isn't a physical feat at all, it's some metaphorical burden

"Like putting up hay" is such a badass line. He's basically saying, "ain't no thang, Atlas"

When Atlas revealed why he wanted a day off it made my day

"Do we, like, do a handoff?" I love that, mighty as he is, he's still an unassuming farmboy.

Superman just being the best of humanity yet again

What a guy...took a day off to go work so someone else could take a day off.

Superman needing a break from from saving everyone so he can go help someone
  • This here is MY Superman. Not the smug versions. The kindhearted Superman who is kind to be kind.

I like how after Superman takes the weight from Atlas, all panels afterward being held aloft on his back. An excellent way to show not only what's happening in Metropolis while he's gone, but how even the good that comes from his decisions can weigh heavily upon him.
  • Gotta think about it though. Supes did this for a day and had to take a nap. Atlas has done this through all of time. The inner strength of Atlas is absolutely no joke. Give that man a green lantern core ring and I'd imagine nothing would stop him.
  • Those who call Superman a ‘Mary Sue’ haven’t read a Superman comic and simply don’t understand. When you read these stories, it’s not about what you see, but what you feel. And it’s amazing as it is inspirational.

Another feat of Superman’s mental, was the time joker had the powers of a god, and literally tortured Batman for thousands of years killing him over and over again. When joker lost this power and bruce was saved, Bruce ended up quitting being Batman, cause what joker put him through was to much. So Clark(Superman) saying the world needs Batman, decided to transfer all the trauma Batman had endured during those thousands of years of being killed, into his his own memories and mind, while Bruce’s memories of the whole ordeal were erased. Clark ended up enduring all those years of torture and dying over and over for his friend Bruce.

  • Superman is Hope. Hope is the most powerful thing in the spirit & the most powerful thing ever.

Atlas pranked Heracles AND Superman by just pulling a Batman and showing up only late in the day. And pranking Zeus by his very presence as a bonus.

Superman's sense of duty, his willingness to sacrifice himself to protect life, is stronger than his muscles. I did come away from this feeling sorry for Atlas, though. No burden or punishment should be forever.

Really gives you an insight to the immense strength of atlas, i know its more a metaphorical weight, but the fact that supes holds it for a day and is exhausted after, i mean, you gotta give it to atlas himself, that fact he endures as he does… just wow! And yes, I know, supes’ burdens are different from atlas’, but come on, credit where credit is due!

Imagine Atlas never comes back-"finally,after soo long,im freee!"
