A couple years ago I went to Italy to check out the 1 Euro homes I heard about… I left as the owner of two homes in Mussomeli, a charming countryside village in Sicily.

I have been covering the entire process on my channel, from the moment I started touring the euro homes on the market, then when I discovered the premium listings and found my dream properties, and finally all the renovations I’ve been doing to take these 400 year old homes into the 21st century.

Now, my $5000 home is fully renovated and in today's video I’m sharing the final results of this property!

  • Love the showing. Those homes have been locked down for years not helping the town generate life or even taxes. I think it’s a great idea and an opportunity for others to learn the Italian culture and contribute. Keep posting

so glad you kept the terrazzo. It makes the room!
  • Kudos to you for revitalizing these old homes. Since there was no stipulation of usage the buyer can do whatever. I applauded you, one more beautiful, livable home in a sleepy town. Nice simple, clean and bright design!!
  • Great content, Sicily is a gem 💎 with unbelievable climate, history, landscape, friendly people, etc....

I love the fact you left the old Terrazzo floor tiles and Marble stairs. It blends in very well with the new work in the kitchen and bathroom. Personally I don't like how someone will buy a house 100 or more years old then pull everything out and make it look so modern. Some of the history needs to be retained. You can have both. The front of the house looks fabulous too.

I just wanted to add a comment to help the channel and say thanks. What your doing is inspirational for all of us who want to use real estate to improve our lives. As a fellow African, I’m happy to be able to share this with friends who can follow your footsteps. I’ll be doing the same thing in Egypt and Mexico.
  • Absolutely beautiful my friend. I have been following these homes in Italy on various channels and this is the first I've seen put together so beautifully. Thank you for sharing.
  • I was telling my wife I want to do this. This is awesome and so encouraging. I just sent her this video. Thank you so much for educating us and showing us that we can do the same thing. Gained a follower
  • Hi Karl, so glad to have found you and the idea of purchasing a home for $1 Euro! My husband and I are very interested in this idea very soon. Keep up the good work...and thsnk you for your diligence in making this content for us to watch and learn! God bless ~

Awesome transformation. The bedroom is my favorite—glad you saved the terrazzo, and brilliant how you pulled in some color from the floors to tie the room together—extremely effective. Cheers!
  • Love to see these old buildings put to good use and functional. Very sweet.
  • Nice video - and you've done up the house really tastefully, it looks stunning 😊.
  • I’ve been following this series, thanks for sharing and making this video! Place turned out great. It would be nice to know how much you spend on this project in addition to the initial 5K purchase - from notary fees to renovation fees, and the timeline. Perhaps a follow-up video? Thanks!
  • I love this! I think you did an amazing job. I love how thoughtful you were in all of your decisions. Great job!!
  • @dayewalker9408
Nicely done, I was wondering (and STILL DO) about those stairs as you exit the kitchen for the upstairs....you did the best you could. Thanks for the tour and update.

This is honestly a nice space in Italy. I love the homes across the from your place outside, it gives a vintage feel but can definitely be fixed up and be just as spectacular as it was when It was first built.
  • Looks great. I like how you did the bedroom playing off the colours of the floor. It works!
