Excellent video Jason. I am a beginner and I have viewed a lot of videos on paddling technique but this is the first video I have seen that explains the different seats in the boat. Thank you!

Hey, Jason, just want to say thank you for putting up the video. Even though I just discovered your video after it's already been here for so many years. I wish one day you can be my coach.😊

Hey, thanks for posting. This is my crash course on paddling since I volunteered 1 day before the races, just amateur racing. I like The technicality!

Pretty good technique for A stroke, best tutorial video I’ve seen so far though 👍🏼

Excellent video, and insightful comment responses from you, too. Thank you.
  • Hey Jason I only attended one glass apparently I am doing everything wrong and I am not being synchronized with the other people on the boat also I don't keep the same speed, I hit the boat and the paddler behind me hits me accidentally, they told me it takes me longer to get it out of the water for the next stroke, is this normal for a beginner?
  • Wonderful tutorial ... I will be co captain of an upcoming regatta and this will help us out a lot! Thank you!
  • Great lesson! Could you make a paddle review video? Could you advise me a good web site where buy a paddle that ships all over the world? (i'm from italy)
  • I just might participate in this event on the 1st of November in Long Beach, CA. Thanks for sharing :)

Thank's a lot dude for putting this out :)

From what I've been reading, it is better to dive your paddle at a 60 degree angle and not 90 like you are. It makes me wonder which is correct.

@jasonhong thank you for your video. I find this tutorial really helpful. I would like to consult you that as a beginner, if there's any way to improve our rotation and technique at normal days. As i have limited chance to do water training.
