As a collector myself, I think thinking about resale value when I am buying something for my own personal collection can kind of suck the fun out of it for me. But it’s great if in the future I find that the things I bought and no longer have a use for can still sell for a good price.

Hands down, the smartest handbag youtuber. Don't know why you do not have more subscribers... so knowledgeable!

I am 100% here for your popmart unboxing, so fun! Between the time value of money, transaction costs and poor market liquidity, I personally wouldn't buy any bags for an investment (even remembering that the single biggest definition of investment is risk i.e. prices could go down). I've sold bags for more than I paid for them but considering all the other factors, it's probably just girl math to believe i "made" money. Bags are fun for me, i don't really want to start stressing about their future cash value. All that said, I am super glad not everyone feels the same as i love buying preloved and someone's got to be on the other side of that transaction 😆

Oh the chubby cheeks on those bag charms are adorbs! I don’t ever buy a bag as an investment. I just get what I like and what’s right for me. I don’t buy with the intention of reselling so if it doesn’t climb in value I’m ok with that. If I’m happy and I love the bag that’s what is most important to me. Also, I LOVEEEE bag charms too. And I’ve bought quite a few on the pre loved market. Sometimes I could kick myself for not buying when they first get released (like the LV Illustre holiday) because they go up and then are so much more expensive.

If ya like doll charms, I highly recommend Tchi Tchi Dolls from Beirut. A middle eastern find I came across a couple of years ago☺️

I don’t mind losing some money, myself, as I don’t collect as investment. I only buy preloved, but I make choices so that I know i will always get some return if I do ever sell, and every now and then I break even which I feel is the best i can expect and I feel really good when that happens. Every so often I get more than what I paid and that has always been with Chanel that I buy preloved and hold on to for many years. Buying new is an entirely different thing and I can’t speak to that. Fun topic, Jess!

Hi Jess! I used to love collecting certain things. But having moved to a smaller space, I just end up having to sell stuff. 😢 Those plushies are adorable, and I do love the occasional Jelly Cat! ❤

I live for the plushie unboxing ❤️❤️

Sooooo joyful 😀 I used to collect Pokémon cards with my son. I remember sitting in the car with him after a Pokémon battle at toys r us and opening a pack with a shiny Charazard. Those were the days ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Forgot to add there is a song about putting lime in the coconut as a remedy for a bellyache. That's a Harry Nilsson song. When something is trending there is always a backstory.
