Here’s some tips: Jimmy can’t hide in the basement, ground floor, elevator or the stairwell. So these places are safe zones. The menu in the right corner might change color, if it turns red, it means he is following you or he knows where you are. You can call for Jimmy in the top left. It might be good for strategy. You can maybe trap him in a room using a dead lock key. Example if you call out to Jimmy when your in a room, wait till Jimmy starts to open the door thats when you want to hide in the closet, once you do that Jimmy will now go in the bathroom and hide. Thats when you want to run out the room and use the dead lock key. It will not trap him forever but it gives you time to look around. If your going on the steps and you happen to see Jimmy peak through the door/ window do NOT go through the door. Jimmy will take some time before spawning on the floors, he will spawn quicker on floor 3 than floor 1. Every time you complete the story more he will spawn faster. When you reach about 70% of the story, he will spawn instant on 1 - 3! So, if your searching for a room it is a good idea to go back to the elevator, then go down to ground floor. Then go back to the floor you are tryna find the room. If you do that, the timer for Jimmy to spawn will reset. Then you have extra time to look. (This is useless if you are at 70%, because he will spawn instant). You can see if he has spawned be calling for him in a room. If it takes too long for him to appear, that means he hasn’t spawned yet. Audio is also an important part of the game, listen carefully for footsteps when you look through the spyglass in the guest rooms. (EVERYONE LIKE SO HE SEES THIS!!!)

When the menu button turns red he's near and you need to hide immediately. Jimmy can bust into a room and find you if he saw you go in it. Before he comes in, you'll hear the lock jiggle. HIDE. Also, ask Amy about the turpentine and lighter. You can lock Jimmy in a room if you have the deadlock key, 9/10 times found in the room somewhere. Jimmy can't get you on the stairs, the ground floor, or the lower ground level. Those are safe zones. Jimmy can bop you before you get on the elevator if you aren't quick. Sometimes you can run right past Jimmy in certain corners before he can get you if you click the mouse like a mad demon.

Here's a tip cory: the call out to Jimmy distracts him and makes him come to you. U can use it for when hes about to open the room u are in u can hide inside of the little closet down the room. Wait till he sees u go into the closet. He will not try to open it but he will peek, after he peeks he will check the bathroom that's your chance to leave the room while hes checking so you can lock him in. This byes u time for u to look around. also if u look on the bottom right corner of your screen u will see 3 little long lines. If the lines turn red that means he is close in front of u. If its yellow that means hes close up behind u. That will give u a better chance to outrun him and hide.
