Oh gosh wait. I didn't know this would show up as a comment lmao!

πŸ–‹consistently wishing it were less stressful for people to quit their jobs to write full time. It's gonna be a great nano!

Don't define your self worth by your employment! I'm sure something will turn up, but it's okay if it takes a while. Plus it'll be cool to tell people you're a full time writer while it lasts. Best of luck with your projects! I'm having a productive first two days of NaNo so far and feeling good! It's my first year participating.

Thank you for being so honest about your decision to leave your job and how your mental health affected you. Day 1 on NaNo was a doozy but I've loved watching everyone's videos. πŸ–‹

πŸ–‹ stay strong, Kelley! wishing you a great nanowrimo this year πŸ€—πŸ€—
  • πŸ–‹ you can do this i believe in you. I am also participating in NaNoWriMo this year currently staring at my fantasy novel my current word count is 880 and I'm a day behind, but it's fine. I anticipated to be a day behind. I am struggling with my prologue I think my intro is too long, but I don't know how to cut it straight into the action, but also I'm worried about writing a fight scene since I don't know how to do that. I think I'm adding fluff scenes to delay writing the action lol.

Congrats on recognising what you needed to do for your own mental health, I know it may be scary right now but that is honestly worth SO much more than a random associate position. Wishing you the best for nano! πŸ–‹

πŸ–‹οΈ best of luck! i'm also currently taking a break from uni and freelance jobs due to mental health issues, so i understand the gist of what you're going through. hopefully you'll continue to be surrounded by little things that give you enough joy to hold on

πŸ–‹My dream would be to quit my job to be a full-time writer, but unfortunately, I can't as I am also a full-time uni student. I wish you luck!! ❀

Hope everything goes well for you Kelley! I'm struggling with writing a bit this Nano because of a family crisis but I'm still trying to write some days. :face-red-heart-shape:

πŸ–ŠοΈ love u kelley!! I definitely feel you on the job market anxiety but i'm sure you'll find something 🫢
  • @greynightingale
I'm in the same place you were in this video. Nine months with no job in tech after being laid off. Hardly any job gives me an interview, and if they do, it's like five interviews just to be told I don't have a job. I'm writing a book in the PNW (raised here) and this gave me some inspiration to finish my project.

πŸ–ŠοΈ good luck, kelley! wishing you all the best for nanowrimo and your job hunt! thank you for your vulnerability and sharing your life with us. your videos are a source of comfort for many of us, and i hope you know how much we appreciate you πŸ’•
