I started on a ward in September, generally a bit of a disaster. As a male nurse, I'm not sure GP or community are likely fits as I've heard about quite a bit of resistance. I'm on the look out for the right long-term fit though.

This was a lovely video Claire! I just had a question in mind about GP nursing, because I am particularly interested in GP nursing after I graduate in the nursing course. What are your shifts like when working in GP, and what band were, when you were a newly graduate nurse? Thanks xx
  • Hi Claire - just a quick question, I am finishing my nursing training in just a few months time and was wondering if it is at all possible to get my first job in a GP surgery even though I have never been given placements anywhere outside a ward. I really want to try it out but I am a little worried it is going to be as hectic and "thrown in deep end" like some wards can be, and that I will be expected to know lots about GP nursing skills etc ! Thanks x
