"If I would've listened to the naysayers, I would still be in the Austrian Alps yodeling!" wow that's a powerful line.

Probably the best speech I've ever heard, this speech applies to life in general, by the way I showed this speech to my cat and now he's a lion.

Half of the views are from me

This speech saved me from a very dark and hopeless place. Thank you for the upload

"I didn't just want to be a ____, I wanted to be the best ___ of all time." Fill in your dream.
  • @bobibest89
I have never seen so much determination in a man's eyes.

This is what made me decide to go after my dreams of being a bodybuilder. I went from being 220lbs over weight to being 180lbs of muscle mass, benching more than what my old body weight was. And now I am competing in my first competition this year. Thank you for this inspiring video. Arnold is the best.

9 years later and I still love listening to this to reset my mind and drive.

For the past three weeks I have been listening to this before working out. His words inspire strength. This video has literally replaced my pre-workout.

What a legacy this man has created!! is incredible.
  • "You can`t climb the ladder of success with your hands in your pockets." Good one.
  • I started listening to this while going to the gym, but more importantly taking steps to being successful. I used to just lay in bed and play video games all day, just doing nothing with my life, but this video helped me get up and start a new life. Going to be 21 soon with two jobs and going to to school on starting my own company, all I can say is thank you Arnold

Motivates me for anything! "When you're out there partying, horsing around. Someone out there at the same time is working hard, someone is being smarter, someone is winning"
  • @chilihifly007
This doesn't just apply to body building...you apply this to whichever area of life you want to improve, to your dreams and aspirations. I love the part where he says while you are out partying, someone else is out there working for what they want. Very inspirational.
  • My hero 💪I'm 35 and started boxing people say I'm too old but I hear this in my head and carry on 👊👊
  • @guhdzilla
Arnold's life might as well be a movie: 1. Move from rural Austria to United States 2. Become famous through bodybuilding 3. Overcome accent and become one of the biggest movie stars 4. Marry a Kennedy 5. Become Governor of California
  • @Imsouthy
A truly incredible man. He'll be the first man to admit that he's made mistakes in life but his determination, work rate and self belief is absolutely amazing. Shows what you can achieve in life if you work hard.
  • Can't stop watching this video. The part where he is struggling with the weights and the look of determination in his eyes is just awesome

As a former combat vet in the army, I cant attest that it takes HUGE balls to go AWOL, knowing full well that you will face harsh punishment when you return. He did that as a kid just to enter a bodybuilding contest.  When he says "break the rules" and "don't be afraid to fail", I don't think most people really understand how deeply those statements run with him.
