See Prince William pledge his loyalty to King Charles III

I have watched this moment of the coronation a dozen times and cry every time. There is something so touching about watching a son pledge a holy oath of loyalty to his father. As a parent, imagining my child doing such a thing, as an aging newly crowned monarch who has SO much obligation on his shoulders, it is nothing short of the ultimate act of love of a son to a father. Charles must feel so alone at times, knowing he alone has this duty, and so to have his son, the heir to his throne, kneel before him and promisee that he's got his father's back, no matter what, is profoundly touching.

To have a loyal and balanced son and daughter-in-law, a true blessing.

This was my favorite moment of the coronation. A very touching father/son moment. The look in The King’s eyes was priceless.

This moment got me. King Charles needed this today. A good son. ❤

That was a super special moment for both of them.

Charles definitely smiled after Willam swore his allainace and that kiss on his cheek shows the bond between father and son how close they are. :)

The king is at ease because he knows that Prince William will be his brilliant successor.

this is my fav moment from the coronation yesterday. William is someone his father can always depend on.

I woke up early,took weekend duty from my hospital work just to watch this historic moments in time,and the moments of the KING and Prince of Wales gave me goosebumps and tears. He is really the dignified true heir,and someday he will sit there too,becoming one,and hope I am still alive to watch him.He shown the world what is the duty and obligation to monarchy ,not trashing them for gold. .

You can tell he loves his son very much.

Be still my heart!!! I am not british, but this was so touching! I watched the whole coronation and it was fantastic!!! I was in awe of the musicians on horseback in front of the coach! I mean wow!!! How difficult this must be to pull through!!! Long live the King, 🇬🇧✨🎉👑🐎

A moment of grace and glory

Charles looks so content and peaceful through all of this, which is nice. And I could listen to William read the phone book -- what a beautiful speaking voice.
