(picking 444) Decoded: BRINKS 4 wheel combination padlock / false gates (quickly, no tools)

For those who know me also know how much I love combination locks. So I was very excited to receive this cool BRINKS lock from William. It has false gates and is susceptible to the method of testing the wheel resistance to distinguish true from false gates. What an exciting packages - thanks a lot to William again

Wow, I tried this with my Brinks lock and got it open in 20 seconds by just feeling the tension of each number dial. Crazy easy to pick! Thanks!

Cool, I got it! Found an old one of these of my dad's (he recently passed away). I don't even know what a gate is, true or false, but was able to determine the tightest wheel to start with. After lubing up the lock with some graphite and playing with it, I was able to get that one to "click". I couldnt decide between two of the other wheels which one was tightest, but picked one, and it seemed not to want to move from the number it was already on. Then I noticed those were the last two digits of a PIN he commonly used. Sure enough, his PIN was the combination.

I have one of these left over from my school days and could never remember the code, but kept it incase I got bored. I followed along and did it tonight!

Just bought this exact lock and accidentally set the wrong code so the lock was stuck in the backwards position with this video it only took me a few minutes to actually pick it open appreciate the help man!

This video is so good. My lock got stuck in the reset combo position and I couldnt get it open. Now I have fixed this problem and also learned how to open this lock I have had my sister randomize it about 5 times and Ive been getting faster at it everytime.

Thank you so much!!!! My cousin has a freezer full of goodies that he locked with this lock. He told me I could eat as much as I want if I could open it. After much frustration and watching this video over and over, I finally did it!!! It only took me about 15 min! Yumminess here I come!
