I love how Gus, the serial jokester, was the only one to give a serious appraisal for the roomba

This is like when you find out all your favorite superhero’s live in the same universe

His dad is super supportive of his work. So patient to allow him to mess up the entire table. 😅

“Alexa, deploy the Air Force” 50 roombas come flying out of the bathroom and flying behind me
  • @eloryosnak4100
If you put three ultrasonic sensors at the rotors, you could ping distance while in the air, and go towards the highest distance once it reaches a ledge, then descend at a fixed speed in order to automatically navigate stairs. The only issue is that I doubt the stairs will always be the last thing it goes to on a floor
  • @Jdbye
That's actually not a bad idea. With the way modern robot vacuums map your home, it should be possible for them to detect staircases and be able to fly up and down them simply by following the wall/railing, but not close enough to crash. It does rather increase the cost and complexity so it might not be any cheaper than simply buying 2 of them. But if you have 3 floors of more, it starts making sense.

    Now make the roomba submersible

This man is inspirational to me! There is so many awesome projects and so little time. I gotta pick a couple of epic builds and make them a reality. Thanks for the energy you got going on dude.

Guy at party: "Yea, I'll have another drink!" A friggin' rooomba flies by Guy at party: "On second thought... I'll just walk myself home."

This is pretty cool from the fact that you created it, to the fact that you treated your prototype of a party. I teach Design Thinking the seniors and this video is exactly the same thing is about. Great job
