    Why home owner insurance don't pay to cut down trees but will pay to replace the home when the tree split the home in half that is crazy new laws need to be added
  • How in the world are this houses built? No cinderblocks, no insulation. Glad to live in Europe.

    If the contractor was legit then no worries. It's insured and bonded.
  • lets cut the bull. its the insurance of the title owner, and if they skipped that part so be it as the courts will say.
  • Simple if you don’t own it on paper. You don’t owe for it. It’s called builders risk insurance
  • Usually GC has construction insurance while GC taken on the project to protect uncertainty events. New structure has not being transfer to buyer yet therefore, no liability from buyer.

    Builders risk insurance until home is sold then buyers insurance.

    I'm questioning the builders. The foundation or materials don't seem up to quality because that storm wasn't even a Cat 1. So what if the Storm was a Cat 4 or 5????? That means the whole damn home would be gone.
