Mitutoyo 7003 stand restoration - disassembly, cleaning

This indicator stand came from eBay, the seller didn't know the brand so the price was lower than average. Upon closer inspection, it turned out that it needs some cleaning to get rid of grime caused by too generous lubrication with an improper oil and the base has to be refinished.
I've used isopropanol and acetone/xylene solvent for cleaning with cotton swabs, paper towel pieces, and ice cream sticks.
In the next portion, I'll show the refinishing process that I will do once the weather will permit (it's pretty cool and damp here). Fortunately, I have perfectly matching hammered spray paint, so it will look as good as new.
