You alone, by giving access to such an informative piece of music/guitar theory will be responsible for thousands of people becoming masters of the guitar in their lifetime. Thanks for sharing this key!
  • Every guitarists know that how lucky weā€™re to have this guy. ā¤ļø
  • @erents1
I have only watched the first 18 minutes of the lesson ā€œCā€ shapes and I can totally see where this amazing lesson is going, after 50 years I finally get it
  • @HartleyChris
I started this video in January 2021 as I wanted to learn my arpeggios. Every time I had enough to practise I paused it, practised, and.came back to it when I was ready for the next instalment. It's now October 28th, and I've finally reached the Mark Knopfler triads at the very end. Phew! 10 months of practise, and worth every minute. I am a far, far better player than I was back in January, and this video really gave me something to get stuck into during lockdown. Thank you, Stich. You are - without doubt - the clearest, most patient, most engaging guitar teacher in YouTube-land.

I've played bass professionally for years, even signed on a small label back in the 90's. I've always loved playing guitar and struggled with getting arpeggios under my belt. Your teaching method is so geniune. The way you take your time to explain things it almost feels like you are right here giving a private lesson. Great passion for teaching. Thank you!
  • @richpatino
OMG... I watched it 10 times and each time I learn more. This got me out of a guitar funk... stuck doing scales and arpeggios without seeing these connections... Thank you šŸŽø

You know what ... I have everything you can buy from Marty & Steve Stein... Papa stash... material ...donā€™t get me wrong itā€™s great material! but STITCH what he gives you is unbelievable ... straight off the bat! No false promises and to top it off an excellent teacher... there you go I have saved you $100s of dollars... I never needed any of STITCHES print out sheets.. but you know what... I always bought them to support him and to be honest cuts out a lot of hard work for most people. Take it from me Iā€™ve spent over a thousand dollars in the last 10 years with sites and DVDs subscriptions etc. You are looking a gift horse in the mouth when you watch this teacher! Be grateful & not dead in your appreciation for one of our top gurus of guitar YouTube!šŸ¤©šŸ¤“šŸ‘šŸ˜‰šŸ¤“šŸŒŸ

The first 20 minutes of this video are not unlike the first time I tripped, the musical universe has now been laid out before me with a clarity I didn't think I'd ever see.
  • This is one of those videos I keep coming back to and finding new gold nuggets every time. I'm only half way through because taking it slow and rewatching each section is so rewarding.
  • @ewww21
I found myself getting frustrated by all the information around. People would explain that "There's 5 pentatonic boxes! You just connect them!" Then every one of them would start pentatonic shape one on a different box šŸ˜. But in 12 minutes, you made it super obvious what box went where. I'm finding myself getting frustrated again, but with this video I know I can close it, and pick up where I left off and something will just click again. Probably the best gem on YouTube and a good dude.

This guy could run for President using only stichmethod as his platform
  • @GiantSFaithfuL
Ian dropping the gauntlet! The standard of guitar instructables! Wow.
  • @neilkorsgaard
This is beautiful. It is an amazing example of "when the student is ready, the teacher will appear" I've been getting glimpses of something, but couldn't see the whole thing. I am soooo grateful!
  • @Fanta2320
Wow, I am coming back to guitar after a 6 yr hiatus and WOW just wow, Stich has taught me more in one video than my old teacher in 2 years, you sir, are a phenomenal human, I can't thank you enough.
  • @glmglm5480
As a guy that sucks and has struggled for years i must say this guy impresses me more and more
  • @MelodyMaker
I've never had much interest in memorizing other guitarist's licks. This two hour session in itself is helping me produce my own. The inevitable tangents upon practicing this class while also incorporating diatonic patterns is one large stepping stone along my musical journey.
  • Iā€™m 34 years old, been playing guitar seriously for about 1.5 years now. First picked one up at 18 and played sporadically but never really committed. The last year and half I have been very committed and self taught. I just want to thank you for sharing these videos. They really are helping me find that missing link (it feels like) that Iā€™ve been looking for to finally start connecting all the dots Iā€™ve been practicing. So seriously thank you

We should play all the ads and superchat whatever you can so Stich can eat from this amazing gem of a lesson.
