As a Uruguayan that lived in that area, I can say that is one of the most beautiful places that I had the pleasure to be!

Grew up in Merrick! Three months out of the year we’d go to lido beach or Atlantic beach. Shoutout Minnesota’s for drinks

I'm looking for towns in NY that are similar to SoCal. This was very helpful thank you!
  • That giant building you ignored before you went north was the Lido towers built in 1928 by William reynolds it was a hotel there was a golf course attached. And the land went all the way to point lookout. He traded the land he owned in Manhattan to a guy named Chysler. He built a building too... it now sits on 14 acres and is a condo
  • My grandmother had a bungalow on the West End (34 Wyoming Ave). In the 1970s and early ‘80s we had to buy a yearly booklet of tickets to get onto the beach.

You should do a video of you getting on train and leaving

Thank you for this beautiful and interesting video of Long Island Beach. The beach would look even lovelier with a few trees perhaps. Maybe there's a reason for the lack of trees.

I’m from LONG BEACH CA, I was always interested in learning bout LB LONG ISLAND
  • I love your video of Long Beach. I've been there a few times and it's such a beautiful place. What I noticed about your video is that you managed to keep it well balanced even though you are moving. How were you able to do that even while coming out of the car. Is it a camera attached to your body? I would love to know what you used to stabilize the video.

I grew up in long beach ny it was a dangerous place in the 70s and 80s it was bankrobbed for many years. It began to turn around in the late eighites and has been very genterfied over the years. It used to have a large black and hispanic popultion that has been priced out over the years
